  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Records career-high five assists

Johnson ended with six points (2-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, five assists and two steals across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 120-112 victory over the Magic. Johnson started for the third consecutive game and dished out a career-high five assists in the win. The rookie failed to connect from deep for just the fifth time in 28 games this season but helped offset it with his activity on the defensive end, recording his third game with multiple steals. It snapped a seven-game streak of scoring in double figures for the sharpshooter. Johnson has played at least 20 minutes in 15 of the past 17 games, averaging 11.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.0 threes, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.8 minutes per game during that span.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Struggles to find shooting touch

Johnson closed Sunday's 141-115 loss to the Timberwolves with 13 points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 27 minutes. Johnson had an uncharacteristic night offensively after shooting 55.8 percent from the field and 65.0 percent from downtown in his previous four contests entering Sunday. Even so, he still managed to score in double figures for a ninth straight game and knocked down a season-high six shots from the charity stripe. Johnson should continue to see his name in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future with Kyshawn George (hip) still without a clear timetable for a return.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Perfect from downtown

Johnson notched 24 points (9-12 FG, 5-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Monday's 115-101 loss to Phoenix. Johnson did a good chunk of his scoring from beyond the arc Monday, but he received little help from his teammates. He drained a season-high five triples and led the Wizards in scoring, taking full advantage of his opportunity as a starter while Kyshawn George recovers from a hip injury.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Still has minutes restriction

Johnson (hip) will remain on a minutes restriction in Monday's game against Phoenix, Josh Robbins of The Athleticreports. Johnson logged 26 minutes during Sunday's tilt against Memphis, which was his highest total since returning from an extended absence with a hip injury. The rookie first-rounder has averaged 11.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 21.2 minutes per contest in his last eight appearances, and it doesn't sound like he's ready to clear the 30-minute marker yet.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Starting Sunday

Johnson is part of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies. Johnson will fill in for Kyshawn George (hip) in the starting lineup. It'll be Johnson's fifth start of the season, and his first since Nov. 12. As a starter, Johnson is averaging 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 26.3 minutes.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Ties season-high scoring mark

Johnson logged 19 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 25 minutes during Sunday's 124-113 loss to the Spurs. Johnson continues to play off the bench for the Wizards since returning from a hip injury that sidelined him for seven games between Nov. 22 and Dec. 6. He's scored in double digits in three of those five contests, but this was one of his best scoring outputs to date. Johnson has scored in double digits in all but six of his 20 games this season.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Muted in return

Johnson supplied three points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 17 minutes during Friday's 130-126 loss to Cleveland. Johnson had missed Washington's previous seven games with a left hip flexor strain prior to Friday night, and he showed signs of rust in his return to the hardwood. Friday marked his lowest scoring total of the 2025-26 season, and he didn't contribute much elsewhere. Still, the Texas product didn't appear to be on any kind of minutes limit, and he should continue to see chances to contribute, particularly from beyond the arc.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Absent from injury report

Johnson (hip) is not listed on the injury report for Friday's game against Cleveland. Johnson has been out with a hip injury since late November, but he's all set to return Friday. The rookie first-rounder has averaged 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 24.3 minutes per contest across 15 games this season.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Ruled out Saturday

Johnson (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bulls. Johnson will miss his first game of the season due to left hip flexor soreness, and his next opportunity to play will come Tuesday against the Hawks. With the rookie sidelined, Bub Carrington, Corey Kispert and Cam Whitmore are candidates for increased minutes.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Dealing with hip soreness

Johnson is questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls due to left hip flexor soreness. Johnson is in danger of missing his first game of the season after posting 14 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block over 19 minutes during Washington's 140-110 loss to Toronto on Friday. After playing at least 20 minutes in 12 straight games to begin the campaign, Johnson has played fewer than 20 in three straight, so it's possible the hip issue has been bothering him for over a week.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Puts up 12 points

Johnson totaled 12 points (4-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 135-112 loss to the Rockets. The rookie out of Texas didn't have his best performance, but the Wizards' offense looked overmatched in this 23-point loss. Johnson opened the season in a bench role but has started in each of the Wizards' last four games, averaging 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in that stretch. He should continue to have decent upside as long as he's starting in the absence of Bilal Coulibaly (calf). Johnson is enjoying decent volume, attempting 10 or more shots in three of those four starts.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Drops 10 in loss

Johnson provided 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one block in 21 minutes during Monday's 119-102 loss to the Knicks. Johnson has scored 10-plus points in all but one game this season, serving as one of Washington's prominent bench scorers. The rookie is averaging 12.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.9 blocks and 2.1 made threes.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Questionable for Tuesday

Johnson is questionable for Tuesday's game against the 76ers due to low back soreness. Johnson has been logging 27.3 minutes per game off the bench for the Wizards this season, which has the rookie's back acting up. We'll have a better idea of his status following Tuesday's shootaround, but if he is forced to the sidelines, that would open up minutes for Cam Whitmore and perhaps Malaki Branham would be able to get into the rotation.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Drops 16 in debut

Johnson put up 16 points (5-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 133-120 loss to the Bucks. While Johnson came off the bench backing up Bub Carrington, he did outscore him while playing three fewer minutes. The rookie also led the second unit in scoring and minutes played, seemingly solidifying his spot in the rotation for the foreseeable future.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Not starting Thursday

Johnson won't start in Thursday's preseason game against Detroit. With CJ McCollum (rest) returning to game action, Johnson will slide to the bench. The rookie guard got the starting nod in Monday's win over New York, recording 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and three assists in 14 minutes.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Starting Monday

Johnson will start in Monday's preseason game against the Knicks. With CJ McCollum (rest) sidelined, Johnson will enter the starting five. The Texas product posted eight points (3-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and one assist across 23 minutes in Sunday's preseason-opening loss to the Raptors.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Cleared for training camp

Johnson (hamstring) has been cleared to participate in training camp, Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports Network reports Tuesday. Johnson dealt with a hamstring injury during Summer League in Las Vegas, with his last game being played July 11 against the Suns. He finished with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. The rookie guard being a full-go is a promising sign for Washington, even though a few other notable names on the squad are dealing with injuries, like Bilal Coulibaly (thumb), Alex Sarr (calf) and AJ Johnson (leg).

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Won't suit up Tuesday

Johnson won't play in Tuesday's Summer League game against the 76ers due to right hamstring tightness, Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports Network reports. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Johnson will miss his first Summer League matchup due to a hamstring issue. The 19-year-old is considered day-to-day, and his next opportunity to feature will come Wednesday against the Jazz.

  • Wizards' Tre Johnson: Impresses in Summer League debut

Johnson generated 18 points (7-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 28 minutes of Friday's 103-84 Summer League loss to the Suns. Johnson's calling card is his scoring ability, and it was on full display in his first taste of NBA action. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Johnson knocked down over 50 percent of his field goal attempts and finished second on the team in scoring. Johnson is expected to compete with Marcus Smart, Blake Wesley and Cam Whitmore for reserve guard minutes.
