Phillies' Aaron Brown: Converted from outfielder to pitcher
Brown is transitioning from an outfielder to pitcher, Mike Drago of the Reading Eagle reports.
Brown has struggled to produce as a hitter since being drafted in the third round of the 2014 draft. He was the Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2014 at Pepperdine University, where he was 13-1 with a 1.95 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 64 innings. He is expected to begin pitching for one of the Phillies' minor-league clubs within a month.

Phillies' Aaron Brown: Will play in Arizona Fall League
The Phillies will have Brown play for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League next month, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
Brown has hit .225/.318/.371 with three home runs in 213 at-bats for Double-A Reading this season. The 24-year-old was a third-round pick in 2014. He has failed to impress thus far in the minors and looks unlikely to be a contributor in the majors. He earned an AFL invitation after Andrew Pullin went on the disabled list at Triple-A.
