    Eppler signed with the Kiwoom Heroes of the KBO on Friday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

    Eppler, a 28-year-old righty, has yet to pitch at the major-league level. He didn't look good in 72 innings for Triple-A Rochester in the Nationals' system in 2021, struggling to a 7.97 ERA while striking out just 14.3 percent of opposing batters.

  • Nationals' Tyler Eppler: Joins 60-man pool

    Eppler has been added to the Nationals' 60-man player pool, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

    The former Pirates farmhand signed a minor-league deal with the Nats in January after spending last season in Japan, where he posted a 4.02 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 25:9 K:BB in 31.1 innings for Orix. Eppler will be emergency bullpen depth only for Washington this season.
