  • Colts' Chris Lammons: Won't return vs. Jacksonville

Lammons (foot) has been ruled out for the remainder of Indianapolis' matchup versus the Jaguars on Sunday. Lammons is done for the day after suffering a foot injury in the first half. The 29-year-old had seen the majority of his playing time on special teams before exiting the game, so his absence likely won't affect the Colts' defensive gameplan.

Head coach Shane Steichen told reporters Friday that Lammons (ankle/knee) won't play in Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins. • Colts' Chris Lammons: Signs with Indy

The Colts signed Lammons from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday. Lammons was unable to make the Colts' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he will rejoin Indianapolis after JuJu Brents was placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Lammons had been elevated from the practice squad and played 22 snaps on special teams in the Colts' 29-27 loss to the Texans on Sunday. With Brents sidelined, Lammons is expected to provide depth in the Colts secondary behind corners Jaylon Jones and Kenny Moore.
