How Many Teams Can Actually Win The AFC?

Fantasy News

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: No touches in Week 16

Gilliam went without a carry or target while playing 11 of the Bills' 50 offensive snaps in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Browns. The 28-year-old fullback has been active for all 15 of the Bills' games this season but has been deployed almost exclusively as a blocker on offense, recording no carries and just one reception for two yards. Gilliam remains a core special-teams player for the Bills and has notched 12 tackles on the team's coverage units this season.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Logs 21 snaps in Week 6

Gilliam went without a carry or target while playing 21 of the Bills' 57 offensive snaps in Monday's 24-14 loss to the Falcons. Gilliam was credited with his second start of the season since he was on the field for the Bills' first play, but he was still limited to just 37 percent of the offensive snaps even though Buffalo leaned into more heavy packages with tight end Dalton Kincaid (oblique) inactive for the contest. The Bills will continue to deploy Gilliam almost exclusively as a blocker anytime he's on the field; the fullback has yet to draw a target or carry the ball through six games and was limited to just three touches for the entire 2024 season.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Suits up vs. Giants

Gilliam (groin) secured his only target for 19 yards during Saturday's 35-24 preseason loss to the Giants. Gilliam had been managing a groin injury, but he was healthy enough to suit up for preseason action Saturday and connect with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky for a 19-yard gain in the second quarter. The fullback appeared in 15 regular-season games with Buffalo in 2024, though he only logged three carries for seven yards in that span.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Working through groin injury

Gilliam did not participate in Sunday's training camp practice due to a groin injury, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports. Gilliam may have picked up the injury during Friday's practice session, and he'll be held out as a precaution to avoid aggravation. The Bills don't have any other fullback on the roster, but if Gilliam were to miss Saturday's preseason opener against the Giants, Buffalo could opt to use tight ends Jackson Hawes, Zach Davidson or Matt Sokol as backfield blockers in run schemes.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Practices fully Wednesday

Gilliam (hip) was a full participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice. Gilliam has missed Buffalo's last two contests but appears ready to return to the field. He's played just 40 offensive snaps this season but is a mainstay on the Bills' special teams units.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Won't play Week 10

Gilliam (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts. Gilliam has been limited in practice all week due to a hip injury, and the issue is serious enough for the 27-year-old fullback to be sidelined for a second straight game. With Gilliam sidelined Sunday, the Bills may utilize tight ends Dawson Knox and Quintin Morris more in run-blocking schemes.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Limited at Wednesday's practice

Gilliam (hip) was estimated as a limited participant for Buffalo's walk-through practice Wednesday. Gilliam was also listed as a limited participant on the Bills' first official practice report for Week 9 before he ultimately sat out Sunday versus the Dolphins. He'll likely have to practice in full Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Won't play Sunday

Head coach Sean McDermott said that Gilliam (hip) won't play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. Gilliam was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice before not taking any reps Thursday, so the Bills' decision to rule him out isn't especially surprising. The fullback has played primarily on special teams this season and has yet to receive a carry or draw a target over his 35 snaps on offense.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Limited to special teams

Gilliam played all 26 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Titans. For the first time all season, Gilliam didn't take the field on offense as the Bills went without a fullback. The Bills hadn't featured Gilliam much on offense prior to Week 7, as he hadn't exceeded seven snaps in any of the previous six games and didn't carry the ball or draw a target.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: No touches in blowout win

Gilliam played seven of the Bills' 64 snaps on offense and went without a carry or target in the team's 47-10 win over the Jaguars on Monday. The fullback has now taken the field for three, five and seven snaps on offense over the first three games of the season and has yet to earn a touch as a ballcarrier or pass catcher. He'll continue to serve mostly as a lead blocker and special-teams contributor whenever he takes the field.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Nearing return

Gilliam (groin) should return to practice this week, Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports. Gilliam first missed practice Monday and then was unable to take the field for the remainder of the week, including the team's preseason game against the Colts on Saturday. Although it's still not clear exactly when he'll return, it appears the Toledo product will be back in action sooner rather than later.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Full go Thursday

Gilliam (ankle) was a full participant during practice Thursday, and he does not carry a game status ahead of Saturday's contest versus Miami. Gilliam did not practice Week 14 due to an ankle injury, causing him to miss his first game of the season Sunday against the Jets. The fullback then worked his way back as a limited participant during practice Tuesday and Wednesday, and he'll be good to go again for Saturday's divisional matchup. Gilliam has not recorded an offensive statistic since Week 6, though he should reprise his roles as a core special-teamer and blocker in the run game.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Starts week limited

Gilliam (ankle) was limited during Tuesday's walkthrough practice. Gilliam was unable to practice last week and missed the team's Week 14 win over the Jets. His ability to participate in limited fashion Tuesday is a step in the right direction for the 25-year-old. He'll continue to work to be ready for Saturday's game with the Dolphins as the week progresses.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Unavailable for Week 14

Gilliam (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Jets, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. Gilliam will miss his first contest of the year Week 14 after he suffered an ankle injury at some point over the last week or so. The fullback doesn't typically see many looks in the Bills offense, so it's unlikely that his absence will carry much of an impact. Considering he's the only fullback on the team's roster, the Bills may need to elevate someone from the practice squad or operate with one of their current running backs in that role versus New York.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Sidelined during practice

Gilliam (ankle) was a non-participant in practice Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. This is the second consecutive DNP for Gilliam as the team preps for a divisional showdown with the Jets on Sunday. The 25-year-old has yet to miss a game this season, so although his offensive snaps are limited, it's unclear what the team would do without the only fullback on its roster. Gilliam will work to return to the practice field Friday, where his status will likely provide a better outlook for his potential availability Week 14.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Goes without target in Week 5

Gilliam played seven of the Bills' 56 snaps on offense and didn't log a carry or target in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Steelers. After drawing six targets between Weeks 2 and 3, Gilliam has now gone without a target in two straight games while playing only 14 snaps in total. The fullback's usage on offense is likely to wax and wane depending on how many short-yardage situations the Bills find themselves in during a given game.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Finds end zone in blowout

Gilliam logged two receptions for 17 yards and a touchdown on three targets in Monday's 41-7 win over the Titans. Gilliam put the Bills on the board with 9:07 left in the first quarter, when he reeled in an 11-yard pass from Josh Allen for a score. After inking a two-year extension in August, Gilliam has more job security than most fullbacks around the league, but that doesn't mean he'll be a focal point of the offense. The three targets were a career-high total for Gilliam, who hasn't played more than 42 percent of the Bills' offensive snaps in any of his 18 games across the past two seasons.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Will be available Sunday

Gilliam (ankle) is active for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers. Gilliam was able to log a full practice Friday for the first time in two weeks and will be available Sunday after a one-game absence due to the ankle injury. However, the 6-foot fullback has only produced 18 yards across 11 appearances this season, so he doesn't warrant any fantasy consideration.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Missing another week

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that Gilliam (knee) won't suit up Sunday against the Dolphins, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports. Gilliam is set to close out the regular season with back-to-back missed games, though it's possible that the fullback will manage to return during the playoffs. On a positive note for Buffalo, McDermott didn't rule out any other players for Week 17.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: No-go for MNF

Gilliam has been ruled out for Monday's game at New England due to knee/hamstring injuries, the Bills' official site reports. Gilliam sees the bulk of his snaps on special teams, so the Bills will have to dig a little deeper on those units Monday as they shoot for the No. 2 seed in the AFC after clinching the AFC East crown already.
