  • Cowboys' T.J. Bass: Signs second-round tender

Bass signed his second-round tender with Dallas on Tuesday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Bass had been a restricted free agent and was tendered by the Cowboys in early March. He could compete for the starting role at left guard in 2026, although competition might still be coming via free agency or the draft.

  • Cowboys' T.J. Bass: Gets second-round tender

The Cowboys placed a second-round tender on Bass on Saturday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. The move means that the Cowboys will be eligible to match any offer sheet that a team gives Bass, who is a restricted free agent. Bass started in five of 16 regular-season games in 2025 and will look to compete for a permanent starting role in 2026, wherever that might be.

  • Cowboys' T.J. Bass: Set for second-round tender

The Cowboys are planning to use a second-round tender on Bass (knee), Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Per Fowler, the second-round tender for Bass would amount to $5.8 million. The pending restricted free agent guard -- who is bouncing back from a knee issue that landed him on IR on Jan. 3 -- has 10 career starts to his credit through 48 regular-season games with the Cowboys over the past three seasons.

  • Cowboys' T.J. Bass: Misses Wednesday's practice

Bass (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. The 26-year-old from Oregon likely needs to practice in a limited fashion either Thursday or Friday in order to play in Sunday's season finale against the Giants. If Bass is sidelined in Week 18, expect Hakeem Adeniji to operate as the Cowboys' top left guard.

  • Cowboys' T.J. Bass: Will play against Washington

Bass (thigh) carries no injury designation into Sunday's game against the Commanders, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Bass missed the Cowboys' last two games due to a thigh injury he suffered against the Panthers in Week 15. He ended the week strong with a full practice Friday, and he'll serve in a depth role at guard Sunday behind starters Tyler Smith and Brock Hoffman.

  • Cowboys' T.J. Bass: Unavailable for SNF

Bass (thigh) is inactive for Sunday night's contest against Tampa Bay, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Bass suffered a thigh injury in Week 15 against the Panthers and he will now be forced to miss at least one contest as a result. In his absence, Dakoda Shepley will likely operate as the primary reserve option at interior offensive line.

  • Cowboys' T.J. Bass: Participating in OTAs

Bass (elbow) is participating in the Cowboys' OTAs, Mickey Spagnola of the team's official site reports. Bass underwent elbow surgery following the 2023 campaign. The undrafted rookie earned a spot on Dallas' 53-man roster but spent most of the season backing up Tyler Smith at guard. However, Bass did start two contests. His participation at OTAs indicates his health is back up to par heading into his second season.
