Ladler was signed from the Giants' practice squad to the team's 53-man roster Thursday.
Ladler received the promotion after the Giants placed fellow safety Landon Collins (shoulder) on injured reserve Thursday. Ladler suited up in five games for the Redskins this season, accumulating six tackles (one solo). The Vanderbilt product should provide some much needed depth to the Giants' secondary.
Ladler was waived by the Redskins on Tuesday, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Ladler was promoted off the Redskins' practice squad in early September and served in a special teams role. The 26-year-old was a healthy inactive the last two games so the move is unsurprising, especially given the acquisition of HaHa Clinton-Dix from Green Bay at last week's trade deadline.

Ladler last layed in the NFL for the Bills during the 2014 season. He has spent the previous two seasons in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos. He tallied 156 tackles, five interceptions, three forced fumbles, and a touch down across 34 games. He will look to impress with the Redskins during the offseason.
