Heavy rain quickly washes out Red Sox-Rangers

CBS SportsLine.com wire reports

BOSTON -- Saturday night's game between the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers was postponed by rain.

It will be rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on one of the days during the Rangers' next trip to Boston on June 9-11. The current series is scheduled to wind up with a single game Sunday. Texas beat Boston 6-0 on Friday night in a game shortened by rain to 5½ innings.

Sunday's scheduled starters are Kevin Millwood (3-3) for Texas and Josh Beckett (4-1) for Boston. Saturday's scheduled starters, John Koronka for Texas and Lenny DiNardo for Boston, were pushed back in their rotations.
