Boston at New York

Red Sox and Yankees rained out, to play back-to-back doubleheaders

CBS wire reports

NEW YORK -- Daylong rain caused Friday night's game between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees to be postponed, and the teams will make it up Sunday as part of their second straight day-night doubleheader.

New York and Boston already had been scheduled for a split doubleheader Saturday to make up a June 7 rainout.

The Yankees would clinch their ninth straight AL East title by winning three of four from the Red Sox, coupled with a Toronto loss.
