SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Corey Hart and Jeff Suppan look ready to start Milwaukee's season. San Francisco's Jesus Guzman is making a strong case to be in the big leagues on opening day, too.

Hart hit two doubles and drove in two runs, and Suppan threw five scoreless innings for Milwaukee before San Francisco rallied with five runs in the final two innings to beat the Brewers 7-5 on Tuesday.

Guzman ended the game with a two-run homer over the 35-foot batter's eye in center field at Scottsdale Stadium with one out in the ninth. The non-roster invitee, competing for a reserve role, is hitting .400 with three home runs and 10 RBI this spring.

"That's one of the longest balls I've seen hit here," San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy said.

Hart has his spot in right field for the Brewers secured. He is hitting .447 with six doubles, four home runs and 10 RBI this spring.

"He's been really locked in all spring," Milwaukee infielder Craig Counsell said. "He's driving the ball. He's not just hitting groundballs through the infield. He's going to hit in a big RBI spot. He is important for us."

Suppan, on track to be Milwaukee's opening day starter, gave up a single in five innings in his sharpest outing of the spring. He had given up three homers and had a 7.36 ERA in his first 11 innings. He got 11 groundball outs and struck out one.

"Spring training is getting back," Suppan said. "My focus was tempo and getting ahead. With tempo and balance, my pitches had more movement and I was able to keep the ball down."

San Francisco's Pablo Sandoval singled and hit an RBI triple, raising his average .447 with six RBI this spring.

Mike Lamb hit his first home run of the spring, a two-run shot that gave Milwaukee a 5-2 lead in the seventh inning.

The Giants tied the game with a three-run eighth inning, capped by Ryan Rohlinger's two-run, inside-the-park home run. Rohlinger has four home runs and 10 RBI in 16 at-bats this spring.

Giants left-hander Pat Misch, starting because Tim Lincecum (flu) and Randy Johnson (strained biceps) were pushed back, struck out four in three scoreless innings. Misch was optioned to the minors March 9.

    Notes

Giants INF-OF Eugenio Velez turned an ankle in pregame workouts and was unavailable. ... San Francisco INF Emmanuel Burriss, who was hit by a pitch near his left ankle Monday, should be available Wednesday. ... Milwaukee claimed RHP Wes Littleton off waivers from Texas. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Brewers designated Rule 5 selection Eduardo Morlan for assignment. Littleton, 26, is 5-3 with three saves and a 3.69 ERA in 80 games over parts of three major league seasons. Morlan was selected from Tampa Bay and must be offered back to the Rays, who have until Thursday morning to make a decision. ... Brewers OF Tony Gwynn Jr. (right shoulder impingement) is continuing a throwing program and is targeted to play in a game this weekend, manager Ken Macha said. Gwynn, a candidate for a reserve outfield position, has played in only four games this spring. He is 2-for-9.
