MIAMI -- Logan Morrison didn't waste any time to produce upon his return to the Florida Marlins.
After an 11-day demotion to the minors, Morrison homered in his first game back to help Florida to a 6-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds in the opener of a doubleheader Wednesday.
"It means a lot," Morrison said. "It doesn't matter what jersey I have on, I just want to contribute. I'm happy."
Morrison started the scoring with his 18th homer for the Marlins, who snapped a six-game losing streak.
"It was a different ballclub with Lo-Mo in there," Marlins manager Jack McKeon said. "He's a threat, he did a great job. He played hard. It was a different attitude. The whole energy level was different."
The Marlins scored three runs in the eighth to break a 3-all tie. Emilio Bonifacio tripled off reliever Jose Arrendondo (3-4) before Omar Infante drove him in. Greg Dobbs followed and hit a two-run double to give the Marlins a 6-3 lead.

They needed the extra runs after Todd Frazier hit a two-run homer in the ninth off Edward Mujica. Steve Cishek relieved Mujica to get the final two outs to record his second save.
"Maybe this will be the start, a 10 or 12 game winning streak," McKeon said.
Bonifacio's triple over the head of center fielder Drew Stubbs with one out in the eighth keyed the pivotal inning.
"It was hit harder than he thought," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "The wind was wreaking havoc out there too. Usually Stubby catches that ball."
Ryan Webb (2-4) struck out the only batter he faced.
Javier Vazquez fanned 11 in seven innings for the Marlins. He allowed three runs and six hits.
McKeon was ejected in the third inning for arguing balls and strikes with first base umpire Todd Tichenor during an at-bat with Homer Bailey.
"No question about it [I was right]," McKeon said. "He told me I had rabbit ears. 'Run me."'
Reds starter Homer Bailey allowed three runs in seven innings. He struck out four and picked up two hits at the plate.
"As the game went on I felt I kept getting a little bit better and I wanted to go out there for the eighth, but (Baker) wouldn't let me," Bailey said.
Joey Votto put the Reds on the scoreboard in the third with a two-run home run to left field, his 23rd of the season.
Jose Lopez also homered for the Marlins.
