According to Bruce Arians, Cardinals running back Andre Ellington (knee) was almost healthy enough to play Sunday against the Rams.
Ellington practiced on a limited basis leading into Week 4, but the relative health of both Chris and David Johnson spurred Arians to exercise caution with his presumed No. 1 running back. If he continues to progress this week, Ellington should take the field Sunday at Detroit, but his workload would be contingent upon the state of his knee.
Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree will need ankle surgery and may miss the rest of the season, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Ogletree will either be placed on injured reserve/designated to return or season-ending injured reserve. He can safely be ruled out through November, and can therefore be dropped in IDP leagues. It's a big loss for the Rams, with some combination of Akeem Ayers, Bryce Hager and Cameron Lynch likely to take on Ogletree's snaps.
