Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he hopes running back Andre Ellington's foot injury has improved to the point where he can practice Thursday, reports the Sacramento Bee. In the first two weeks, Ellington was only able to practice on Fridays.
Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington has been suspended for the entire 2014 season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He was suspended four games last season for violating the same policy.
The Rams received minor contributions from a couple of role players in a Week 2 win over Tampa Bay. Chris Givens and Cory Harkey were each targeted twice by backup Austin Davis. Harkey caught both targets for 8 yards, while Givens was held to just one catch for 15 yards.
Rams quarterback Shaun Hill (thigh) did some individual drills in Wednesday's practice, but Austin Davis took nearly all the reps in the team portion, reports ESPN.com. At this point it appears Davis will make his second straight start Sunday.
