Miami at New York

It's easy to envision a scenario where Chip Kelly just throws up at his hands and heads back to college.
Is Larry Fitzgerald the best you can do at wide receiver? Is Brian Hoyer really a top-five option against the Saints? Heath Cummings tackles this and more as he ranks Week 12 options by position.
In the days leading up to the Thanksgiving Day showdown between the Panthers and Cowboys, former Carolina DE Greg Hardy said he wanted to prove to his old team that he could still play.
Now 3-8, Dallas' season officially appears to be a wrap, even in the sorry NFC East.
The Packers' loss to the Bears on Thanksgiving night was disconcerting for a number of reasons.

11/26/15SWalt AikensAnkleQUESTIONABLEDolphins cornerback Walt Aikens was suspended for the season finale Sunday for missing a team meeting after he was involved in a domestic dispute at his Sunrise home, per WINZ-AM.
11/26/15RBJay AjayiElbowPROBABLEAjayi carried four times for 13 yards and caught both of his targets for another 23 yards in Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

The rookie couldn't muster much on the ground, but he managed to haul in the first two passes of his NFL career. Ajayi is unlikely to see many touches behind Lamar Miller, although both backs were limited by Miami's inferior time of possession on Sunday. Week 12 will present a road matchup with the tough Jets front, and Ajayi should remain in his supporting role.

11/26/15LBJelani JenkinsAnkleQUESTIONABLEJenkins (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

After injuring his ankle during a Week 10 contest against the Eagles, Jenkins was forced to miss the following game against the Cowboys, in which Darren McFadden ran all over the depleted Miami defense. Jenkins will need to practice at least once in some capacity this week in order to have a shot at playing in Week 12.

11/26/15SReshad JonesPectoralQUESTIONABLEJones (pectoral) returned to a full practice Thursday.

Jones is trending toward a probable designation for Sunday's game against the Jets, good news for IDP owners enjoying his 9.1-tackle per game clip.

11/26/15WRJarvis LandryKneeQUESTIONABLELandry (knee) returned to a limited practice Thursday.

After sitting out Wednesday' session, Landry was back out there Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity. We'll revisit his status to see whether or not he progresses to the point that the Dolphins choose to list him as probable for Sunday's contest against the Jets.

11/26/15CBBrice McCainKneeQUESTIONABLEMcCain (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Buffalo.

McCain returns to action after missing the last two games and will likely reclaim his starting spot opposite Brent Grimes.

11/26/15LBKoa MisiAbdomenQUESTIONABLEAlthough Misi (abdomen) was active he didn't play a snap in the loss to Dallas on Sunday, reports the Dolphins web site.

Apparently Misi just didn't feel right in pregame warmups so the team decided to hold him out of the game. His loss was a big one for Miami as the running game of the Cowboys ended up being more than Miami could handle.

11/26/15LBSpencer PaysingerNeckQUESTIONABLEPaysinger (neck) practiced Wednesday, reports Miami Herald.

The Dolphins are thin at linebacker at this moment with just about every starter dealing with one injury or another so the return of Paysinger was a welcome sight at practice.

11/26/15LBKelvin SheppardHamstringQUESTIONABLEThe Dolphins have re-signed linebacker Kelvin Sheppard on Tuesday, reports the Palm Beach Post. Sheppard registered 24 tackles and one forced fumble in 14 games for Miami last season.
08/14/15DLDion JordanSuspensionSUSPENDThe Eagles were rumored to be making an offer to the Dolphins for defensive end Dion Jordan , but coach Chip Kelly denied that a deal was ever close to completion.

11/26/15CBPrince AmukamaraPectoralPROBABLEAmukamara was a full participant in practice Friday and remains destined for a return in Washington, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Amukamara should provide a nice boost to the Giants secondary opposite Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

11/26/15TELarry DonnellNeckDOUBTFULDonnell isn't expected to play Sunday at Washington, after the Giants found a "troubling result" on an MRI on his neck, Dan Graziano of ESPN New York reports. "It's not looking good," Donnell said.

On Monday, Donnell stated that he felt 100 percent after doctors cleared him, but Wednesday's development leaves the tight end without a return date. While he'll likely be ruled out in advance of Sunday's game, Jordan Raanan of NJ.com speculated that Donnell may be in danger of missing the rest of the season. In the meantime, Will Tye and Jerome Cunningham will handle TE reps for the Giants, but a free-agent addition to the corps isn't out of the question.

11/26/15LBMark HerzlichQuadricepsQUESTIONABLEThe Giants have re-signed linebacker Mark Herzlich on Wednesday, reports NJ.com. Terms of the deal were not initially made to the public.
11/26/15CBLeon McFaddenGroinPROBABLE49ers cornerback Leon McFadden is questionable to return to Saturday's Week 16 game against the Chargers due to a head injury, the team announced. McFadden had yet to record a tackle in Saturday's game at the time of his injury.
11/26/15DEDamontre MooreHamstringPROBABLEGiants defensive end Damontre Moore had his right arm in a sling as he watched Texas A&M's Pro Day with other former Aggies, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. More information on Moore's injury was not immediately available.
11/26/15LBJ.T. Thomas IIIAnkleQUESTIONABLEThe Giants announced they've signed running back Shane Vereen late Wednesday night.
11/26/15LBUani UngaNeckPROBABLEUnga (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Jasper Brinkley will step in at middle linebacker, but he didn't get much playing time in nickel packages last week, so he isn't a recommended IDP option for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Unga won't necessarily have an every-down role once he's healthy.
