The paper noted it's generally difficult for players who sustain concussions on Sunday to play on Thursday.

Browns defensive lineman Phillip Taylor is making progress in his recovery from knee surgery, but is not expected to play Week 8 against Oakland, according to the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram on Monday. It will be the third consecutive game he's missed to due to the injury. Taylor registered seven tackles before the injury.
The NFL and its players association agreed to a new drug policy that reduces Browns receiver Josh Gordon's one-year suspension to 10 games, reports CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Gordon will be eligible to play Nov. 23 at Atlanta.
