04/29/13LBSean SpenceKnee After Steelers linebacker coach Keith Butler said it would be "miraculous" if Sean Spence ever played again last week, coach Mike Tomlin had a rosier outlook on his linebacker's future. "All the rehab is going to according to plan," Tomlin said according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "No news there. I did hear the opinion regarding Spence. My opinion differs. I think he'll have a full recovery. But now you have two opinions, neither of which are expert medical opinions, so do with it what you wish." (Updated 05/06/2013)
03/13/13RBDavid JohnsonKnee The Steelers re-signed fullback David Johnson to a one-year deal. He missed all of 2012 with a torn ACL. (Updated 03/13/2013)
02/04/13TEHeath MillerKnee Ben Roethlisberger told WDVE-FM in Pittsburgh that tight end Heath Miller is making great progress in his rehabilitation from a torn ACL suffered on Christmas Eve last year. "Heath is working out and he looks great," Roethlisberger said. "He's walking without a limp. From what I saw I think he looked good." (Updated 04/18/2013)
02/04/13WRMike WallaceHip The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports the Dolphins have signed free agent receiver Mike Wallace on Tuesday. Wallace, who agreed to terms on a five-year deal for $65 million, more than fulfills the Dolphins' stated goal of wanting to get play-makers this offseason. Wallace, the speedy free agent from the Pittsburgh Steelers, provides the downfield big-play threat Miami’s pedestrian passing offense has been missing for years. Last season, he had 64 receptions for 836 yards and eight touchdowns. Two years ago he had 114 receptions for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns. (Updated 03/12/2013)

04/15/13WRHakeem NicksKnee There's optimism for Hakeem Nicks to be ready for the start of the season but the New York Daily News reports the receiver hasn't run routes that require cutting yet and might not for a while. Nicks is coming back from knee and foot injuries and did participate in the team's recent offseason workouts. "Just from past experience, I am being cautious," Nicks said. "I'm not taking it slow, but I'm taking it easy." (Updated 04/25/2013)
03/21/13RBDavid WilsonHand The Giants' official team website reports the starting running back job will be won in training camp and the preseason but that David Wilson is expected to earn it. 02/02/13RBAhmad BradshawFoot ESPN reports free agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw was cleared for all football activities by Dr. Robert Anderson. That means his injured foot has healed and he's ready for a team to acquire his services. He's been linked to the Steelers and Bengals lately. (Updated 04/26/2013)
01/15/13DBTerrell ThomasKnee Terrell Thomas signed a one-year contract to stay with the Giants. The defensive back tore an ACL for the third time in his playing career last summer; he hasn't played in an NFL game since 2010. Speculation is that the team will move him to safety. "My knee feels great," Thomas said per the official team website. "It was a little struggle at first. It was a little inconsistent with the swelling. But for the last month-and-a half I haven't dealt with any swelling at all. It's progressed the last two weeks since I started running. The doctors are really happy with the way I'm progressing. They had to increase my workload because it wasn't enough." (Updated 02/11/2013)
