07/11/16DBKarl JosephKneeQUESTIONABLEJoseph's (knee) workload included running drills at Sunday's first training camp session, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

Joseph and his fellow Raiders rookies reported to camp Sunday, and the first-rounder was able to test his surgically-repaired knee by running at practice. Since his ACL tear happened back in October, Joseph is now nine months removed from the injury, so his activity level should increase further as camp unfolds. A playmaking safety that could ultimately earn a three-down role, Joseph's progress should be worthwhile for IDP owners to monitor in the coming weeks.

07/11/16LBAldon SmithSuspensionSUSPENDSmith (suspension) has entered a treatment center, ESPN reports.

Smith's reason for seeking treatment is unclear, but it comes just days after a Periscope video titled "Fire up session" surfaced of an unidentified man, suspected to be him, talking about a hand-rolled cigarette shown on screen. In wake of that video, which appeared under an account previously used by Smith, the NFL has launched an investigation into whether he violated protocols required of a suspended player seeking reinstatement from a substance abuse violation. While that investigation continues, Smith's move to now enter a treatment facility hardly seems coincidental, and more details regarding his situation should surface soon.

07/11/16TEClive WalfordKneePROBABLEWalford (knee) was able to run during workouts Sunday, but will be eased into training camp, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

Walford is still working his way back from a knee laceration suffered during an ATV accident earlier this offseason. The ailment prevented Walford from featuring in spring practices, but it appears he's increasing his workload on the verge of training camp. While the Raiders are still expected to ease their second-year tight end back into action, the team will be relieved by Walford's progress, as a knee injury limited him during the first handful of games last season.

04/27/16LBNeiron BallKneePROBABLEBall (knee) is "doing everything" and expected to be "ready to roll" for the offseason program by Raiders' GM Reggie McKenzie.

Ball emerged in Week 5 of last season by holding Denver TE Owen Daniels without a catch on five targets. The performance earned him his first career start versus San Diego in Week 6, but shortly into the game he suffered a knee sprain and was ruled out by halftime. Ball will serve as depth for an imposing Raiders' outside linebacking corps in 2016 behind Khalil Mack, Bruce Irvin, Malcolm Smith and perhaps Aldon Smith (suspension), should he return in November.

04/27/16RBMarcel ReeceSuspensionSUSPENDReece has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs, CSN Bay Area reports.

Reece, who will sit out Sunday's season finale against the Chiefs, is thus eligible to return to action after the Raiders' third game of the 2016 season. In the meantime, he can participate in all of the team's offseason and preseason practices and games.

07/28/16RBKenneth DixonKneePROBABLEDixon (knee) suffered a Grade 1 sprain of his MCL, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

A Grade 1 sprain is the least severe variety, but with plenty of time remaining in training camp, the Ravens have no reason to rush Dixon back onto the practice field. While the rookie could conceivably return as soon as next week, a longer absence wouldn't necessarily be major cause for concern. Dixon is expected to compete for a role in a Baltimore backfield that also includes Justin Forsett, Javorius Allen, Terrance West and Lorenzo Taliaferro (knee). Dixon, Forsett and Allen are seemingly locks to make the final roster.

07/05/16WRDarren WallerSuspensionSUSPENDWaller has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Waller will be able to stay with the team through training camp and the preseason before serving his suspension once the season begins. In six games as a rookie last year, he recorded just two receptions for a total of 18 yards, though he did have a greater impact on special teams, where he was a gunner. He'll look to improve on his offensive numbers from last season once his suspension is complete.

04/27/16TENick BoyleSuspensionSUSPENDBoyle has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2016 campaign due to a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Boyle was utilized sparsely as a rookie in 2015, hauling in 18 balls for 153 yards over the course of 11 games. However, he received his first suspension related to PEDs on Dec. 7 and subsequently missed the final four contests of the season. With Boyle out of the picture for most of next season, the Ravens rely upon Crockett Gillmore (back) and Maxx Williams to man tight end.
