07/18/16RBKarlos WilliamsSuspensionSUSPENDWilliam has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's substance abuse policy, NFL.com reports.

Williams' suspension comes just one day after fellow Bills running back Jonathan Williams was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Additionally, Williams' poor conditioning was called out by coach Rex Ryan last month, so his suspension only compounds an unimpressive first NFL offseason. After posting 5.6 yards per carry and scoring nine touchdowns in 11 games as a rookie, Williams now won't be eligible to play until Week 5 against the Rams. Until then, Mike Gillislee and the aforementioned Williams will have the opportunity to earn valuable touches behind starter LeSean McCoy (ankle).

07/11/16WRMarcus EasleyKneeQUESTIONABLEEasley, who shattered his knee cap in three places during Week 16, is mostly recovered and is hoping to be on the field for at least part of training camp, BuffaloBills.com reports.
07/11/16DLShaq LawsonShoulderQUESTIONABLELawson signed his rookie contract Monday, BuffaloBills.com reports.

The real question is how much time Lawson's recent shoulder surgery ends up costing him during the first year of his contract. Right now, the team seems to still love the value they got in the middle of the first round, and Lawson's attitude in offseason practices seems to be impressing anyone. However, it may be awhile before we see him in action again. Manny Lawson will serve as the placeholder for Shaq Lawson's presumed starting OLB spot while the rookie continues to heal.

07/11/16WRSammy WatkinsFootQUESTIONABLEWatkins says his surgically repaired foot is ready for anything. He's doing full workouts with little in the way of limitations, but still says he needs to gain confidence with his speed cuts, especially when cutting left and putting torque on the repaired left foot. "That's something I'm not comfortable with," said the third-year receiver. "I can do any other route except that route. I'm just kind of tense about it. My foot is tense about it."

Even though the Bills are one of the most run-oriented teams in the league, the passing game goes through Watkins and there was a stretch last season where he within earshot of the Antonio Browns of the league. He hasn't proved he can stay healthy enough or avoid periods of inconsistency where he's a cream-of-the-crop fantasy guy, but he's not that far off either. It'll be worth watching to see how quickly the staff incorporates him into training camp practices, but so far, so good in the recovery and we wouldn't knock him down too much from where he stood pre-injury.

04/27/16DLJerry HughesUpper bodyQUESTIONABLEHughes finished the 2015 season with 52 tackles, five sacks, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He played in all 16 games for the fourth straight season, while seeing action on 92.5 percent of the defensive snaps.

Hughes picked up 67 points in standard IDP scoring after putting up 90 the previous season, and that's mostly due to the drop in sacks. If your league counts passes defensed, he closed that gap a bit. In truth, almost every member of the Bills' defensive line struggled with Rex Ryan's new system, and there's little reason Hughes can't get back to double-digit sacks in 2016 as his familiarity in a complex scheme grows. Hughes also took some dumb penalties in 2015, and it won't sit well with the coaching staff if he doesn't clean that up permanently.

07/11/16WRArrelious BennCollarbonePROBABLEThe Eagles released wide receiver Arrelious Benn with an injury settlement, according to ESPN on Saturday. Benn suffered a concussion in the third week of preseason, but it was a back injury that caused him to land on the injury reserve to start the season before he was officially waived by Philadelphia.
07/11/16DBAaron ColvinSuspensionSUSPENDColvin has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 regular season for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances, The Florida Times-Union reports.

Colvin will remain eligible to participate in offseason and preseason activities, but will be sidelined for four games once the regular season kicks off. With Colvin out, offseason signing Price Amukamara becomes increasingly likely to start opposite Davon House at cornerback to begin this season.

07/11/16DLSen'Derrick MarksTricepsPROBABLEMarks (triceps) returned to practice on Friday for the Jaguars' final day of OTAs, Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times-Union reports.

Marks was a participant during individual drills for the first time this offseason after suffering torn triceps during November of the 2015 campaign, leading to an injured reserve designation. "It felt good just getting back, trusting the process, going out and not having any hiccups," Marks said Friday regarding his return to the practice field. The 6-foot-2, 294-pound veteran also believes he'll be a full participant for training camp, which begins in late July. He's expected to receive a lighter snap load throughout the 2016 regular season regardless, one reason being the addition of Malik Jackson in free agency.

07/11/16DBJalen RamseyKneeQUESTIONABLERamsey (knee) will be ready for the start of training camp, according to general manager Dave Caldwell, NFL.com reports.

Ramsey had surgery in May to repair a partial tear in his right meniscus, but was back running just a month later, easing concern over his status. Now, with Caldwell deeming his rookie first-rounder full-go for camp, Ramsey's knee problem appears to be in the past. The fifth overall pick in this year's draft, Ramsey has all the makings of a top-tier defensive back and should compete for a starting role once the Jaguars open camp Thursday.

07/11/16LBTelvin SmithShoulderPROBABLESmith (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans.

The 2014 fifth-rounder finishes up his 2015 season with a fantasy-friendly 128 tackles, to go along with 2.5 sacks and a pick in 14 games. He's on track to reprise his starting outside linebacker role for the Jags in 2016, an assignment that will make Smith -- whose shoulder issue will not require offseason surgery -- worthy of continued IDP utility next year.

    (Updated 01/01/2016)
04/27/16DLDante FowlerKneePROBABLEThe Jaguars have finalized the process of ending the season of defensive end and top pick Dante Fowler by placing him on injured reserve.
04/30/15WRJustin BlackmonSuspensionSUSPENDBlackmon was reportedly arrested Saturday in Ardmore, Oklahoma for driving under the influence, the Florida Times-Union reports.

Blackmon, who hasn't played since October of 2013, remains under contract with the Jaguars, but it seems increasingly unlikely that he'll play for the team again. At this time, the 25-year-old wideout remains under an indefinite suspension from the NFL.
