07/27/16RBRyan MathewsAnkleNFIMathews, who landed on the Eagles' Active/Non-football Injury list after hurting his ankle while training last week, was seen walking into the team's facility Wednesday without a noticeable limp, CSN Philadelphia reports.

Though the Eagles have not presented a timetable for Mathews' return, this nugget hints at an injury that isn't too severe. Either way, until Mathews returns to the field, the likes of Darren Sproles, Wendell Smallwood and Kenjon Barner figure to see added running back reps during the Eagles' training camp practices.

07/11/16DBRon BrooksNeckPROBABLEBrooks (neck) will compete with Norman Carroll for the starting job opposite newly-acquired Leodis McKelvin, NJ.com reports.

Brooks ended the 2015 campaign on IR after dealing with neck, shoulder and head injuries during the season. However, his main competition, Norman Carroll, is also coming off an injury-ravaged season as well. Fellow CB Eric Rowe also figures to be in on the competition, but offseason reviews suggest he isn't a realistic candidate to start. Conceivably, as both Brooks and Carroll enter training camp after an offseason of rehab, this competition could come down to the last man standing should either player suffer a setback.

04/27/16DBNolan CarrollAnklePROBABLECarroll (ankle) claims his ankle was never broken, and although he never revealed the true specifics of the ankle injury he suffered last November, he is now fully healed and ready to resume practicing, NJ.com reports.

After roughing up his lower leg last November against the Eagles, Carroll was placed on injured reserve with what was believed to be a broken ankle. A clean break could have required a significantly longer rehab process, but with Carroll evidencing his health with a video of himself sprinting up stairs, the veteran corner should be available as soon as training camp.

04/27/16DLBennie LoganCalfPROBABLELogan (calf) was placed on IR on Saturday, Philadelphia Inquirer writer Jeff McLane reports.

Logan is a fine run-stopping interior lineman and his absence leaves Philadelphia a bit more vulnerable at the nose tackle position against the Giants.

07/11/16TERhett EllisonKneeQUESTIONABLEEllison (knee) anticipates a full recovery by training camp, the Twin Cities-Pioneer Press reports.

Ellison suffered a torn patellar tendon in last year's season finale against the Packers, but hasn't reported any setbacks in his recovery and anticipates being 100 percent for training camp. He enters camp firmly behind Kyle Rudolph and MyCole Pruitt on the depth chart.

07/11/16DLLinval JosephToePROBABLEJoseph (foot) will have toe surgery during the offseason, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports

This shouldn't come as any surprise, given that Joseph dealt with a foot injury throughout the entire second half of the season. He missed Weeks 12-16, but with 56 tackles in just 12 games, Joseph cemented his reputation as one of the league's better run-stopping interior linemen. He only has 12.5 sacks in 81 career games.

04/27/16DBAntone ExumRibsPROBABLEExum could be in the mix to win a starting safety job next to Harrison Smith after returning from rib and shoulder injuries during spring practice, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

He mostly worked with the second- and third-string defense, but he could work his way into the mix for playing time at strong safety with an impressive showing at training camp. Exum missed time last year with a knee injury and spent the final few weeks on injured reserve with a fractured rib and an AC joint injury. He'll compete with Andrew Sendejo, Michael Griffin, Anthony Harris and 2016 seventh-round draft pick Jayron Kearse.
