Cubs' Conor Mullee: Claimed by Cubs on Monday

Mullee (hand) was claimed off waivers by the Cubs on Monday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Mullee was spectacular out of the bullpen with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (0.99 ERA in 25 appearances), and even translated some of that success to the majors. He also possesses a strong propensity to miss bats, which could help him compete for a spot in Chicago's bullpen out of spring training as long as he's healthy by then.
