Player Outlook
Milwaukee's farm system is loaded with position players and big-league ready starting pitchers, but Bishop Letson might be the club's best pitching prospect who has never pitched in the majors. While he has flashed significant upside while climbing to Double-A as a 20-year-old, Letson was limited by an elbow injury in 2024 and a shoulder injury in 2025 and has yet to eclipse 65 innings in a season. The lean, projectable 6-foot-4 righty logged a 2.40 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 49:12 K:BB in 41.1 innings last year, primarily at High-A, although his final start was a four-run outing at Double-A. His slider projects as plus and he should only add velocity to his mid-90s fastball as he fills out his frame. Letson's changeup lags behind and will be a point of emphasis in 2026. If he can push up to 100-plus innings, Letson has the upside to finish the year as a top 10 dynasty pitching prospect, but he's extremely risky from a durability standpoint and is far from a finished product.

Fantasy News

  • Brewers' Bishop Letson: Returns from IL

Letson (shoulder) was reinstated from High-A Wisconsin's 60-day injured list Sunday and tossed 1.1 scoreless innings in his start against Great Lakes. He struck out two batters and allowed two hits and no walks in his 32-pitch appearance. Pitching for the first time since May 8 after missing extended time with a right shoulder injury, Letson handled a light workload in his return to action for Wisconsin. Through seven outings with the High-A club this season, Letson has logged a 1.27 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB in 28.1 innings.

  • Brewers' Bishop Letson: Sidelined at High-A

High-A Wisconsin placed Letson on its 7-day injured list June 3 due to a right shoulder injury, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. According to Rosiak, Letson's shoulder injury isn't viewed as a major concern, and the 20-year-old is expected to return from the IL at some point in July. Through his six starts (five appearances) for Wisconsin prior to landing on the shelf, Letson produced a 1.33 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB in 27 innings.

  • Brewers' Bishop Letson: Fans eight in latest start

Letson has a 2.16 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB in 8.1 innings through two starts for High-A Wisconsin. Letson was particularly dominant in his most recent start, striking out eight batters without allowing a run or a walk in five frames. Four of those eight Ks came on his low-90s fastball (up to 94.4 mph in that start) which has good movement. Letson has elite extension, a plus sweeper and an improving changeup. The 20-year-old righty probably won't rocket through the minors, but he has a very high ceiling if he can stay healthy.
