A.J. Pierzynski pinch hits, gets hit by pitch

Rangers catcher A.J. Pierzynski was out of the starting lineup against the White Sox Wednesday but did make a pinch-hit appearance in the ninth inning. He was hit by a pitch from former teammate Addison Reed and could be seen yelling at Reed on the telecast.

The Rangers would get the tying run to the plate but ultimately lose 5-2. They face the White Sox one more time this series Thursday, though Pierzynski's status for the game was not immediately known.
