Angels emerge as front-runner for Mark Mulder

The Angels have emerged as the front-runner to sign free-agent pitcher Mark Mulder, the Boston Globe reports, adding that an incentive-laden deal could be coming soon.

Mulder, who has been out of the majors since 2008, has pitched for five major-league teams this offseason. He owns a career 103-60 record with a 4.18 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 5.7 K/9 rate.
