Royals center fielder Jarrod Dyson connected for his first home run in the majors since September 2010 in Friday's 11-6 loss to the Yankees. The rare home run came off starter Phil Hughes with two runners on base.

Dyson, who has a .259 batting average after going 1 for 3, had three homers at Triple-A in 2011 but none at any level in 2012.
