Jonny Gomes caps April with home run

Red Sox outfielder Jonny Gomes was back in the starting lineup Wednesday at Toronto for the first time in four games with left-hander Mark Buehrle on the hill. Gomes came off the bench Tuesday to hit his first home run off left-hander Aaron Loup.

Gomes finished April batting .195 (8 for 41) in 20 games. He had one multi-hit game, which came in the season opener against the Yankees.
