Just a week after his promotion to Triple-A Tacoma, corner infielder and premier prospect D.J. Peterson has been placed on the disabled list by the Mariners for an Achilles strain, per the Seattle Post Intelligencer.
The 2013 first-round pick had just 14 at-bats with the Rainiers after compiling a poor .223/.290/.346 slash line in Double-A that did not prevent him from moving up.
The extent of his injury has yet to be revealed.
