Michael Young makes rare appearance in leadoff spot

Phillies infielder Michael Young batted in the leadoff spot Thursday for the first time since Sept. 8, 2004, and he seemed to take the spot well.

Young went 3 for 5 in the game with three singles and a run scored, to spark a 5-1 win. Young has hit safely in four straight games, to raise his batting average to .266 on the season, in 192 at-bats.
