  • William Cuevas: Staying with KBO club

    The KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization re-signed Cuevas to a one-year, $1.5 million contract, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. Cuevas, 34, held a 4.10 ERA and 154:59 K:BB over 173.1 innings covering 31 starts in 2024 in what was his sixth season with the Wiz. The right-hander did have a stint at Triple-A Oklahoma City in the Dodgers organization in 2023, but he last appeared in a major-league game in 2018.

  • William Cuevas: Remaining with KBO team

    Cuevas has re-signed with the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization, Jee-ho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports. Cuevas went 12-0 with a 2.60 ERA for the Wiz in 2023, which earned him a $1.5 million contract for 2024. The 33-year-old last pitched in the majors in 2018.

    Cuevas signed a one-year deal with the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization on Friday, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. Cuevas leaves the Dodgers' organization and Triple-A Oklahoma City to join the KBO. The right-hander had a 6.14 ERA over 44 frames in nine appearances in the minors this year. The Wiz released right-hander Beau Sulser in a corresponding transaction.

  • Dodgers' William Cuevas: Inks minor-league deal with Dodgers

    The Dodgers signed Cuevas to a minor-league contract Thursday, OKC Dodgers broadcaster and communications director Alex Freedman reports. Cuevas has pitched in 13 major-league games in his career, though his last appearance came in 2018 with the Red Sox. His big-league numbers aren't pretty, as he's posted posted an 8.06 ERA and 24:17 K:BB while allowing three home runs over 22.1 innings. The 32-year-old right-hander spent the previous four seasons in the KBO, tallying a 3.89 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 390:165 K:BB across 486.1 frames. Cuevas will likely serve as organization pitching depth for the Dodgers.
