Reds' Daniel Wright: Minors pact with Reds
Wright signed a minor-league deal with the Reds, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.
The 26-year-old righty will return to the organization that drafted him in the 10th round in 2013. He notched a 4.58 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 11 strikeouts in 19.2 innings in the big leagues with the Angels last season. His 6.99 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 92.2 innings at Triple-A were even less impressive. He will likely spend most, if not all of 2018 at Triple-A.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Outrighted to Salt Lake
Wright passed through waivers unclaimed and will remain with Triple-A Salt Lake.
Wright was designated for assignment by the Angels on Monday in order to free up a 40-man roster spot for Dayan Diaz. The right-hander hasn't pitched in the big leagues since June 15, and has posted a 7.14 ERA over 63 innings with Salt Lake during the past two months with the club. Although the Bees' season has already concluded, Wright will remain on their roster and stay within the organization for the rest of the season.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Dropped from 40-man
Wright was designated for assignment by the Angels on Monday.
Wright was dropped from the 40-man roster to open up a spot for Dayan Diaz, who was recently claimed off waivers from the Astros. The 26-year-old righty struggled between Triple-A Salt Lake and the big-leagues this season, compiling a 6.99 ERA and 61:35 K:BB in 92.2 innings (18 starts) with the Bees while posting a similarly unimpressive 4.98 ERA and 11:8 K:BB in 19.2 innings for the Angels. He'll head to waivers to determine his next destination.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Sent down Saturday
Wright was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
It was indeed another short stay for Wright, who has bounced back and forth between the minors and majors six times already this season. He was sent down to clear a spot for Saturday's starter, Tyler Skaggs, but Wright figures to be on the short list of candidates for recall the next time the Angels need a fresh arm.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Returns to majors
Wright was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
He will join the big club for the sixth time this season, replacing outfielder Ramon Flores on the active roster. Wright made just one appearance in each of his previous five stints, and it could be another short stay, as the team will need to clear room on both the 40-man and active rosters for Tyler Skaggs (oblique) on Saturday.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Sent back to minors
Wright was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.
Wright tossed 2.1 innings of shutout baseball Thursday against the Royals, but he'll head back to Salt Lake to make room for Parker Bridwell's fresher arm. He should continue to shuttle between the minors and majors whenever the Angels need some extra length out of the bullpen.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Called up from minors
Wright's contract was purchased from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
The Angels' relief pitching carousel continues to roll along, with Wright coming back to the big leagues to act as the team's long reliever for the time being. He replaced Parker Bridwell after he threw 3.2 innings in Wednesday's bout, and it seems like Wright will follow a similar path if the trend continues.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Outrighted to Triple-A
Wright cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.
Wright was designated for assignment earlier in the week, and with no team willing to give him a 40-man spot, the 26-year-old is set to stick around with the Angels as organizational depth. He has struggled in parts of two seasons in the majors and his numbers at the Triple-A level are even worse (6.73 ERA, 1.61 WHIP).

Angels' Daniel Wright: Ousted from 40-man roster
Wright was designated for assignment by the Angels on Wednesday.
Wright was bumped from the 40-man roster to clear room for Shane Robinson, who was added to provide outfield depth with Mike Trout (thumb) and Cameron Maybin (side) both shelved The 26-year-old posted a 5.19 ERA across 17.1 innings with the Angels this season, but his 9.00 ERA though 22 innings with Triple-A was likely the reason the Angels decided to cut ties with him. He should serve as organizational depth wherever he ends up.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Heading back to Triple-A
Wright was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake City on Saturday, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The Angels activated fellow pitcher Michael Morin in a corresponding move Saturday. Wright lasted just 4.0 innings in his most recent outing, allowing five earned runs on eight hits against the Mariners. He'll head back to Salt Lake City and could be a rotation option later in the season if the Angels incur injuries.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Lasts just 4.1 innings against Rays
Wright (0-1) allowed four runs -- two earned -- on six hits and a walk while striking out four batters through 4.1 innings during Thursday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Wright was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to make this start after posting a 9.35 ERA over four outings in the minors. He held his own Thursday, but the Angels would probably prefer to utilize him as a long reliever if possible. It's likely best to take a wait-and-see approach with Wright in all fantasy formats. If he sticks through another turn of the rotation, he lines up for a home start against Atlanta next.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Set to start Thursday
Wright will be recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to start Thursday against the Rays, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
He takes the spot of regular starter Alex Meyer, who was placed on the disabled list Wednesday with back spasms. Wright compiled a 5.54 ERA over 13 innings while being used as a long reliever for the Angles earlier this season, including an exceptional spot start against the Blue Jays in which he allowed just three hits over five shutout innings. Nonetheless, the right-hander has compiled an ugly 9.35 ERA over four minor-league starts this season and his spot on the big-league roster may only be a temporary one, so temper any expectations right off the bat.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Optioned to Triple-A
Wright was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
He gave up five earned runs on eight hits and a walk Thursday, and was subsequently demoted to Triple-A. Keynan Middleton was recalled from Salt Lake to take his place in the bullpen.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Will not start Thursday
Wright will not start Thursday against the Mariners, Pedro Moura of The Los Angeles Times reports.
It had been previously reported that Wright would take Tyler Skaggs' (oblique) rotation spot, and it had seemed given his promotion last week. However, the Angels have opted to go with Alex Meyer, so for the immediate future, it looks like Wright will remain on the backburner in the bullpen.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Expected to replace Skaggs in rotation
Wright is expected to start Thursday's game against the Mariners, Jeffrey Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
When Wright was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake over the weekend, it was expected that he'd work in long relief, but that plan went out the window after it was revealed Tuesday that Tyler Skaggs suffered a Grade 2 right oblique strain that would sideline him for the next 10-to-12 weeks. Wright, who impressed in a April 23 start against the Blue Jays in which he tossed five shutout innings, will get the first crack at replacing Skaggs in the rotation, but the Angels could explore other options at Triple-A if the 26-year-old reverts to the underwhelming form he's shown through most of his time in the majors. Over 48.2 career innings in the big leagues with the Reds and Angels, Wright owns a 5.55 ERA (5.11 FIP) and has collected just 24 strikeouts.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Rejoins big-league staff
Wright was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
He logged a 10.80 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and just two strikeouts in 8.1 innings as a starter with Salt Lake. With Tyler Skaggs (oblique) likely headed to the DL, it's possible Wright could join the rotation, but he would be a player to avoid in the majority of fantasy formats.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Optioned to Triple-A
Wright was sent down to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.
Wright performed admirably in a spot start Sunday against Toronto, as he fired five shutout innings in a no-decision. His services were only required because of an extra-inning game on Saturday, though, so he was sent down in favor of newly acquired reliever David Hernandez. Given Wright's solid showing, expect him to be first in line for any spot starts the Angels need in the future.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Performs well in spot start Sunday
Wright tossed five shutout innings against the Blue Jays on Sunday, but was saddled with a no-decision. He walked two and struck out three in a 6-2 loss.
The 26-year-old was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake to make a spot start for the injury-decimated Angels. The righty performed well in a pinch, shutting down Toronto's offense before reaching his limit of 80 pitches. Wright was expected to make just one start to give the Angels' current five-man rotation a breather, but Sunday's performance could keep him on the 25-man roster, even if it is as a reliever.

Angels' Daniel Wright: Will start Sunday vs. Blue Jays
Wright will get the start during Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register reports.
The Angels were forced to use Jesse Chavez in relief during a 13-inning loss to the Blue Jays on Friday, so Chavez was forced off his scheduled turn Sunday, opening up a temporary spot in the rotation for Wright. The 26-year-old, who gave up three runs over four innings in his lone other appearance on the season back on April 13, likely won't be asked to work deep into Sunday's contest and doesn't profile as an intriguing cost-relief option in DFS contests. It wouldn't be surprising if he's shipped back to Triple-A Salt Lake after the start.
