Martinez left Sunday's Grapefruit League game after taking an elbow to the head while in the field, MASN Sports reports. Martinez stayed down for a while before walking off under his own power. This has signs of being a concussion and we should no more within the next day or so. Martinez will attend Orioles' spring training as a non-roster invitee, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports. The 27-year-old Puerto Rican has played 942 games at the minor league level but only 34 in the big leagues. In 2015 with Double-A Bowie, he hit .252 with 48 runs and 30 RBI in 477 plate appearances. Both players excel defensively, and Showalter called Borbon the type of player the team covets for its minor-league system. Braves acquire Ozzie Martinez from Dodgers
The Braves acquired infielder Ozzie Martinez from the Dodgers in exchange for left-hander Adrian Rivero, according to the team's Triple-A website. Martinez batted .176 (19 for 108) with two doubles, one triple, two home runs and 11 RBI at Double-A Chattanooga. He was assigned to Triple-A.
