Marlins' Andrew Nardi: Ready for spring debut
Nardi (finger) is slated to make his Grapefruit League debut Tuesday against the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Nardi didn't pitch at all in 2025 due to a lingering back problem, but it's a blood blister on his pitching hand that's been holding him back this spring. The southpaw has been deemed ready for game action after throwing multiple live batting practice sessions over the last few weeks. Though Nardi looks to be healthy again, the Marlins could still elect to option him to Triple-A Jacksonville to provide him with extra time to shake off any rust. Over 49.2 innings in 2024, Nardi posted a 5.07 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 70:18 K:BB while picking up 15 holds and three wins.

Marlins' Anthony Bender: Making spring debut Tuesday
Bender (shin) is scheduled to make his Grapefruit League debut Tuesday versus the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The Marlins have been easing Bender along slowly this spring due to a shin injury, but after throwing multiple live batting practice sessions, he's been given the green light for game action. Despite being behind the Marlins' other healthy bullpen candidates, the right-hander should still have enough time to secure a spot in Miami's high-leverage crew, setting up new closer Pete Fairbanks. Bender collected 19 holds, three wins and four saves over 51 appearances in 2025 while pitching to a 2.16 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 42:21 K:BB across 50 innings.

Marlins' Janson Junk: Clean inning in spring debut
Junk (ankle) struck out two batters and allowed one hit and no walks over a scoreless inning of relief in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Astros in Grapefruit League play.
Junk went down with a Grade 1 right ankle sprain early in camp, but after advancing through his throwing program over the last few weeks, he was finally cleared to make his spring debut Saturday. The 30-year-old right-hander made 16 of his 21 appearances with the Marlins last season as a starter, but the ankle issue may have cost him whatever small chance he had at a spot in Miami's Opening Day rotation. Junk should still be in good shape to break camp with the big club as a long man out of the bullpen.

Marlins' Jared Serna: Sent to Triple-A
The Marlins optioned Serna to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
The 23-year-old played in four Grapefruit League games and went 3-for-11 with a double and a home run, but he'll now make his way to minor-league camp. Serna had a .578 OPS in 101 games with Double-A Pensacola in 2025 before joining Jacksonville for a cup of coffee late in the season. He'll need to improve at the plate to have a chance of making his MLB debut anytime soon.

Marlins' William Kempner: Sent to Triple-A
The Marlins optioned Kempner to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
Kempner was added to Miami's 40-man roster in November but was never a likely bet to crack the Opening Day roster. The 24-year-old had a quality showing in his first taste of Triple-A last year with a 2.65 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB over 17 innings, and he could make his MLB debut at some point in 2026 if he continues to pitch well for Jacksonville.

Marlins' Deyvison De Los Santos: Sent packing from big-league camp
The Marlins optioned De Los Santos to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
The 22-year-old is heading into his second season as a member of the Marlins' 40-man roster but is still waiting to make his MLB debut. Before garnering a look in the big leagues, De Los Santos will need to tap into more power after taking a step backward at Jacksonville during 2025. After posting a .277 ISO between Double-A and Triple-A in 2024, De Los Santos dropped all the way down to .119 over his 440 plate appearances with Jacksonville last season.

Marlins' Josh White: Dispatched to Triple-A
The Marlins optioned White to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
While he wasn't able to secure a spot on the Marlins' Opening Day roster, White could be a candidate to pitch in high-leverage spots out of the big-league bullpen at some point later this season if he can continue to carry over his success from 2025. Between stops with Jacksonville and Double-A Pensacola last season, the 25-year-old righty was one of the more dominant relief arms in the upper minors thanks to a deceptive high arm slot, finishing with a collective 1.86 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 107:23 K:BB in 67.2 innings.

Marlins' Dax Fulton: Opening season in minors
The Marlins optioned Fulton to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
Fulton was one of seven players sent out of big-league camp in the Marlins' latest round of roster cuts. According to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com, the Marlins are planning for Fulton to continue getting stretched out as a starter at Jacksonville, but Miami manager Clayton McCullough suggested that the 24-year-old lefty's clearest path to contributing for the big club in 2026 might come as a multi-inning reliever.

Marlins' Chris Paddack: Looking good this spring
Paddack gave up two hits over three scoreless innings in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros. He struck out two without walking a batter.
The 30-year-old right-hander built up to 40 pitches (27 strikes) against a patchwork lineup headlined by Christian Walker and Isaac Paredes. Paddack's fastball topped out at 95.8 mph, and through six spring innings he has yet to allow a run while posting a 6:1 K:BB. Given his injury-plagued career and 5.22 ERA over 246.1 innings the last two seasons between the Twins and Tigers, however, simply taking a regular turn for the Marlins in 2026 would be an accomplishment.

Marlins' Heriberto Hernandez: Flashes skills Friday
Hernandez went 1-for-2 with a walk, a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
The 26-year-old outfielder is having an impressive start to his spring, going 4-for-14 (.286) with a double, two homers and three steals in three attempts. Hernandez likely won't keep up that kind of success on the basepaths in the regular season -- his career high in stolen bases is eight, set at Double-A in 2023 -- but he could be productive at the plate if he gets consistent playing time in 2026. As a rookie last year, he slashed .266/.347/.438 with 10 home runs in 87 games.

Marlins' Max Meyer: Strong spring continues
Meyer gave up two hits over three scoreless innings in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets. He struck out four without walking a batter.
The 26-year-old right-hander is having an impressive spring, posting a 6:0 K:BB over four scoreless frames. Meyer is locked into an Opening Day rotation spot, and while good health might be the only thing standing between him and a breakout campaign, he has a lot to prove given his 5.29 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 127.2 career big-league innings.

Marlins' Xavier Edwards: In lineup Friday
Edwards (calf) is leading off and playing second base in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
It's a great sign for Edwards, who departed Thursday's game with left calf tightness. The infielder won't have to miss any time due to the issue and will resume his regular starting spot. He's 3-for-11 with three steals over five games this spring.

Marlins' Kyle Stowers: Taking live at-bats
Stowers (hamstring) will face live pitching Friday, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.
Stowers was scratched from a Feb. 28 spring training game due to hamstring tightness and was given a 1-to-2 week timeline to return to game action. He looks to be on track, checking off a box by taking live at-bats. It's unclear if he has started his running progression yet.

Marlins' Adam Mazur: Reports elbow discomfort
Mazur reported discomfort in his right elbow Friday and will see a specialist after getting imaging done, Craig Mish of FanDuel Sports Network Florida reports.
It's bad news for Mazur, who's pushing for a spot on the Marlins' Opening Day roster. The 25-year-old posted a 4.80 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP across 30 big-league innings last season for Miami and hasn't allowed a run in three innings of action during spring training. More information regarding Mazur's health should be available in the coming days.

Marlins' Sandy Alcantara: Dazzles against Astros
Alcantara struck out four over three perfect innings in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against Houston.
The right-hander fired 31 of 43 pitches for strikes in an impressive performance against an Astros lineup that featured most of the team's likely Opening Day lineup, including Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez. Alcantara has a 5:1 K:BB through his first four spring innings as he looks to rebound from a disappointing 5.36 ERA and 1.27 WHIP over 174.2 frames in 2025.

Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Exits with calf tightness
Edwards was removed from Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros with left calf tightness, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The severity of Edwards' injury is still unclear, but the Marlins will likely provide more information following Thursday's contest. The 26-year-old infielder has gone 3-for-11 so far this spring with two RBI, a run scored and three steals over five games.

Marlins' Thomas White: Cut from big-league camp
The Marlins reassigned White (oblique) to minor-league camp Tuesday.
White was a long shot to make the Opening Day roster, anyway, but a recent oblique strain sealed his fate. He is not expected to be game-ready until late March, so White could get a late start to the minor-league season. The top prospect collected a 2.31 ERA and 145:51 K:BB over 89.2 innings across three minor-league stops in 2025.

Marlins' Anthony Bender: More live batting practice sessions
Bender (shin) will throw a couple more live batting practice sessions before making his Grapefruit League debut, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Bender is a bit behind schedule because of a shin issue, but he's on the mend. The veteran reliever faced hitters last week and will do so more times this week before being thrown into game action. Bender has plenty of time to ramp up for Opening Day.

Marlins' Janson Junk: Spring debut coming Saturday
Junk (ankle) is slated to make his Grapefruit League debut Saturday against the Astros, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Junk has been behind schedule after suffering a Grade 1 mild right ankle sprain early on in camp. He will throw one inning in Saturday's appearance before building up his workload from there. The right-hander is likely ticketed for a long-relief role with Miami.
