  • Commanders' Jeremy Reaves: Strong performance in loss

Reaves compiled seven total tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 16-13 overtime loss to Miami. Reaves was able to finish second on the team in takedowns behind linebacker Bobby Wagner (eight), recording at least seven tackles for the fourth straight week and sixth time overall this season. On the year, the safety now has produced 63 total tackles (38 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding three passes defensed over 11 games.

  • Commanders' Jeremy Reaves: Secures seven stops in Week 10

Reaves notched seven tackles (four solo) and a defensed pass against the Lions in Sunday's loss. Reaves' tackle total was fourth-most on the Commanders. He's now recorded at least seven stops in three straight games. The veteran safety has taken up a starting role and has already reached career-high marks with 56 tackles and three defensed passes through 10 games this season.

  • Commanders' Jeremy Reaves: Makes four stops in defeat

Reaves recorded four tackles (two solo) in Sunday's Week 7 loss to Dallas. Reaves had his lowest tackle output since Week 3 of the season. The veteran safety has notched 33 stops, including 1.0 sacks, and two defensed passes through seven contests on the campaign.

  • Commanders' Jeremy Reaves: Back at camp

Reaves (knee) was spotted participating in Wednesday's training camp session, David Harrison of SI.com reports. Reaves sustained a partially torn ACL early into the Commanders' 2023 campaign that forced him to miss the team's final 12 regular-season contests, but it now appears he's past the issue. With Reaves back at full health, he's expected to remain one of the best special-teamers in the entire league.

  • Commanders' Jeremy Reaves: IR-bound with partial ACL tear

Washington placed Reaves (knee) on its injured reserve list Tuesday, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports. Reaves was confirmed to have sustained a partial ACL tear Tuesday, and it's now possible he'll spend the remainder of the regular season on the injured reserve list. He had played exclusively on special teams through five games in 2023, so Washington will have to look to replace his production in that phase until he's ready to return.

  • Commanders' Jeremy Reaves: Questionable to come back

Reaves left Thursday's game against the Bears with a knee injury and is listed as questionable. The safety has played in all five games this season and made six tackles, including one Thursday prior to his injury. Reaves was a First Team All-Pro as a special teamer in 2022.

  • Commanders' Jeremy Reaves: Receives tender

Reaves, a restricted free agent, was tendered by the Commanders on Tuesday, Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post reports. Reaves has been with Washington since 2018, playing both on defense and special teams. Last year was the first time he played in more than nine games, though his 143 snaps were his fewest since 2019. He'll likely retain a heavy special-teams workload while playing an occasional rotational role on defense.

  • Football Team's Jeremy Reaves: Produces double-digit tackles

Reaves had 10 tackles (six solo) during Sunday's 56-14 loss to the Cowboys. Reaves had played only one defensive snap all season before receiving the start Week 15, and he now has 22 total tackles in two games. The 25-year-old should retain the starting job down the stretch with Landon Collins (foot) and Deshazor Everett (personal) on injured reserve and the NFI list, respectively.

  • Football Team's Jeremy Reaves: Bound for starting role?

Reaves is likely to enter the starting lineup following the placement of Deshazor Everett (pectoral) on IR, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports. Reaves played 41 percent of defensive snaps against the 49ers last weekend after Everett was forced out, and it appears that the Football Team could be forced to rely on him as a starter the rest of the way. In that case, Troy Apke and Cole Luke would be candidates for rotational gigs.
