Raiders' Greg Townsend, Jr.: Takes field Wednesday
Townsend (undisclosed), who began training camp on the PUP list, participated in Wednesday's practice, ESPN's Paul Gutierrez reports.
The reason for Townsend's placement on the PUP remains unknown. Now healthy, he will compete for a depth role at defensive end behind Khalil Mack and Mario Edwards.

Raiders' Greg Townsend, Jr.: Placed on PUP list to begin camp
The Raiders have placed Townsend (undisclosed) on the PUP list to begin training camp, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Townsend, son of the Los Angeles Raiders' all-time sack leader by the same name, is an undrafted rookie out of USC. When cleared by the team, he will compete for a spot along the defensive line.
