  • Eagles' Tristin McCollum: Steps into expanded role

McCollum recorded four tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 22-16 win versus the Panthers. Though it didn't translate to a huge day in the box score, McCollum played a career-high 66 defensive snaps in Week 14 with both Reed Blankenship (concussion) and Sydney Brown (knee) sidelined. His snap share in Week 15 versus the Steelers will probably depend on Blankenship's and Brown's availability.

  • Texans' Tristin McCollum: Back at camp

Houston activated McCollum from the PUP list Wednesday, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports. It's still unclear why McCollum was placed on the PUP list to begin with, but his stint there lasted just a week either way. The rookie UDFA is a long shot to make the Texans' 53-man roster as a safety, as Houston holds five players with in-game NFL experience at the position and added Jalen Pitre with the 37th overall pick of the 2022 draft.

  • Texans' Tristin McCollum: Placed on PUP list

McCollum (undisclosed) was one of three players added to the Texans' active/physically unable to perform list Wednesday, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports. McCollum can still be activated to return from this list and participate at any point this preseason. Otherwise, he will sit out the team's first four regular-season games.
