  • Packers' Chris Brooks: One carry vs. Chicago

Brooks rushed once for four yards during Saturday's 22-16 overtime loss to the Bears. The 25-year-old played 15 offensive snaps and primarily served as Green Bay's top pass-blocking running back during Saturday's loss. In 15 games this season, Brooks has rushed 14 times for 45 yards and caught 12 of 15 targets for 80 yards. The BYU product could serve as the Packers' No. 2 RB in the Week 17 matchup against the Ravens if Josh Jacobs (knee) is sidelined.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Active for Saturday night

Brooks (chest) is listed as active for Saturday night's game against the Bears, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. With No. 3 running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) on injured reserve, Brooks will have the chance to draw rotational snaps for the Packers' run game behind starters Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson. In last week's loss to the Broncos, Brooks had 17 offensive snaps, which led to two rushes for 10 yards as well as two targets for a six-yard reception.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Questionable for Saturday at CHI

Brooks (chest) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Bears, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Brooks isn't the only banged-up Packers running back, as Josh Jacobs (knee) is listed as questionable and MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) has been ruled out. Jacobs expects to play Saturday, so Brooks will likely be left to split backup duties with Emanuel Wilson at best, if he plays at all following three limited practices.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Another limited practice

Brooks (chest) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Brooks has been limited in back-to-back practices to begin Week 16 preparations, though Green Bay only held a walk-through session Tuesday. The change-of-pace back will have one more opportunity to prove he can mange full practice reps prior to Saturday's road matchup against the Bears.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Limited to lone reception

Wilson was targeted once and caught one pass for six yards in Sunday's 28-21 victory over the Bears. Brooks got a season-high 29 snaps in Week 12 with starting running back Josh Jacobs unavailable, and he still logged 18 the following week with Jacobs back in action. However, he was on the field for only eight plays in Sunday's contest. Fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson received just as many, but he did get three touches compared to only the one for Brooks. Brooks should continue seeing a few snaps on passing downs, but Wilson remains the top option behind Jacobs, and both may fill only bit roles with the starter back at full speed.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Racks up nine touches

Brooks had eight carries for 21 yards and one reception for five yards in Sunday's 23-6 victory over the Vikings. The nine touches were the most Brooks has recorded in a game since joining the Packers in 2024, but they came in a contest in which starter Josh Jacobs (knee) sat out and fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson touched the ball a whopping 30 times. Brooks could again be busier than usual if Jacobs is unable to play Thursday against the Lions, but in such a scenario he would still be the No. 2 option behind Wilson.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Candidate for more work

Brooks had one carry for eight yards in Sunday's 27-20 victory over the Giants. It was a typical appearance for Brooks, who got a few snaps -- five, even with starter Josh Jacobs (knee) leaving the game -- but hardly enough to make a fantasy impact. Jacobs is not believed to be facing an extended absence, but his status is uncertain for Green Bay's Week 12 matchup with the Vikings, and if he is unable to go, Brooks could see a few more opportunities, particularly on passing downs. Fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, though, would be the heavy favorite to be the lead back for the Packers if Jacobs misses one game or more.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Not involved against Eagles

Brooks failed to record a single rushing attempt or target in Monday's 10-7 loss to the Eagles. Brooks was a complete nonfactor Monday night, playing just six of the Packers' 68 offensive snaps in the contest. The third-year running back has not handled a single carry for the past for games and is averaging a 12 percent offensive snap share this season. Brooks remains far off the fantasy radar based on his limited usage as the No. 3 running back behind starter Josh Jacobs and backup Emanuel Wilson. Next up for the Packers is a Week 11 matchup with the Giants.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Corrals two passes

Brooks was targeted twice and had two receptions for 24 yards in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers. Brooks played 11 snaps in Week 9 -- the most he has recorded in a game since Week 2 -- and got a couple touches, but it was still only the second time all season he finished with more than one. He remains the third running back on the depth chart for the Packers.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Handles one carry in Week 6

Brooks rushed once for one yard in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals. Brooks continued to operate as the No. 3 running back behind Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson, playing just five of the Packers' 61 offensive snaps Sunday. The 25-year-old can be ignored for fantasy purposes going forward based on his extremely limited usage. Next up for the Packers is a road game against the Cardinals in Week 7.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Dropping down depth chart

Brooks had one reception for one yard in Sunday's 40-40 tie with the Cowboys. Brooks played just five snaps on offense in Week 4, which put him well behind both starter Josh Jacobs and fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, who was on the field for 25 plays. Brooks played over Wilson during the first two weeks of the season, but the latter tallied 17 touches to just one for Brooks over the last two weeks, so Brooks will reside in the third spot on the depth chart heading into Green Bay's Week 5 bye.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: No touches in loss

Brooks did not record a touch in Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Browns. The eight snaps Brooks played in Week 3 were not far off the 10 snaps he averaged over the first two weeks, but he did not get a sniff of the football after racking up five touches total in Weeks 1 and 2. Brooks and Emanuel Wilson -- who finished with six carries Sunday -- will continue mixing in behind starting running back Josh Jacobs.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Three catches in Week 2 win

Brooks didn't record a carry but caught three of four targets for 27 yards in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders. Brooks played 13 snaps on offense to Emanuel Wilson's five, suggesting the former has established himself as the top backup to workhorse Josh Jacobs, at least until MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) reenters the picture. Barring an injury to Jacobs, none of Green Bay's backup running backs will have much standalone fantasy value.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Operates as backup

Brooks had one carry for one yard and one reception for two yards in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions. Josh Jacobs started at running back and handled all but three of the 23 touches racked up by Green Bay ball carriers, but Brooks was next in line, finishing with nine snaps and two touches compared to the two plays and one carry logged by fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson. The latter is a more effective runner and -- depending on the status of MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) -- could be the favorite for carries if Jacobs were to go down, but as things stand consider Brooks the No. 2 option thanks to his superiority in the passing game, both as a receiver and blocker.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Taking some first-team snaps

Brooks has been getting some first-team snaps while fellow running backs Emanuel Wilson (knee) and MarShawn Lloyd (groin) recover from injuries, Wes Hodkiewicz of packers.com reports. Some may have assumed that Lloyd, a 2024 third-round pick, would settle in as the No. 2 running back after an injury-plagued rookie season. It instead seems Wilson was putting up a good fight to keep the job, at least until he left practice early last Friday with a knee injury, four days after the groin issue forced Lloyd out of action. Neither has returned yet, leaving Brooks as the No. 2 RB in training camp after he handled the No. 3 role for most of last year. He'll presumably have a spot on the practice squad, if nothing else, with a chance to get involved on offense if Josh Jacobs misses time.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Effective in Week 18

Brooks had eight carries for 59 yards in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Bears. Although the Packers ended the regular season on a down note, Brooks ended it on a high one, setting season highs in both the rushing attempts and yards categories. Brooks averaged a quality 5.1 YPC during the regular season, but it's unlikely he will be much of a factor in the postseason, as starting running back Josh Jacobs will be at full speed and fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson took 31 carries to Brooks' 14 over the last three weeks.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Snap counts stay favorable

Brooks was targeted twice and had two receptions for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-19 victory over the Bears. Brooks did not tally a carry Sunday and was the third Packers running back to enter the contest, but for the third time in as many he finished with more snaps (10) than fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, who was on the field for only three offensive plays Week 11. One of the two remains the backup behind Josh Jacobs with the return of MarShawn Lloyd (ankle/hamstring/appendix) again delayed, but it's tough to pinpoint exactly who is the No. 2 back.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Continues making impact

Brooks had two carries for 13 yards and three receptions for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions. Brooks made some noise for the third time in four games, and although he finished relatively even with fellow backup Emanuel Wilson in both snaps and touches, he was the first running back to enter the game behind starter Josh Jacobs, and he could have matched Wilson in the touchdown column had he and quarterback Jordan Love connected on a short pass in the first quarter. Brooks is gaining momentum, but the Packers are on bye Week 10 and could get back rookie MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) before they take the field again, so Brooks may not be a priority addition quite yet.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Gets involved in win

Brooks had four carries for 16 yards and one reception for one yard in Sunday's 30-27 victory over the Jaguars. Brooks was the third Packers running back to get work Sunday, but he finished with just one fewer touch than fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, and he also wound up playing 17 snaps to Wilson's 12. There hasn't been an official changing of the guard behind starter Josh Jacobs, and another ball carrier -- MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) -- could be back soon, but Brooks is more than an afterthought in the Green Bay backfield at this point.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Gets work in easy win

Brooks had four carries for 21 yards in Sunday's 34-13 victory over the Cardinals. The Packers gave Brooks some work while holding a comfortable lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, and he responded with a couple nice runs. His spot on the roster will be in jeopardy when fellow running back MarShawn Lloyd (IR, ankle) returns, but he figures to remain Green Bay's third running back until then.
