Giants' Jon Runyan: Nearing return to practice
Runyan (shoulder) is nearing a return to the practice field with the Giants, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Runyan remained unavailable for Tuesday's practice session, but head coach Brian Daboll said that the offensive lineman is "close" to a return. Runyan signed with New York in the offseason and he's expected to operate as a starting offensive guard in 2024.

Packers' Jon Runyan: Cleared for Monday
Runyan, who dealt with ankle and groin injuries earlier in the week, is without an injury designation ahead of Monday night's game against the Raiders, Tom Silverstein of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Runyan has dealt with a concussion as well as ankle and groin injuries throughout the first four weeks of the Packers' 2023 campaign, and he has yet to miss a game. He was a non-participant during Thursday's practice, but he has no injury designation ahead of Monday night and it seems like he'll continue to play through his injuries.

Runyan sat out of the Packers' practice Thursday due to ankle and groin injuries, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Runyan sprained his ankle in Green Bay's Week 4 loss to Detroit but the groin issue is new, per Demovsky. The right guard looks in jeopardy of missing a start for the first time since Week 1 of the 2021 season.

Runyan suffered an ankle sprain during Thursday night's 34-20 loss to Detroit, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
An already depleted Packers offensive line takes another blow, as Runyan was seen in a walking boot Friday. According to Demovsky, Green Bay's starting guard luckily avoided a high-ankle sprain and is hopeful to play during Week 5's contest against Las Vegas.

Runyan (6-foot-4, 306) played at Michigan just as his father and former NFL standout Jon Runyan Sr. did, but rather than right tackle the younger Runyan is expected to play guard in the NFL. Runyan is too short to project at tackle like his father, but he's likely considerably more athletic. With a 5.08-second 40, 30.5-inch vertical and 12.26 agility score, Runyan offers conventional zone-blocking traits at guard.
