Betker will participate in Vancouver's training camp, TSN reports.
Betker, 23, played for AHL Bakersfield last season, tallying five points in 42 games. He will enter training camp as a longshot to make Vancouver's Opening Night roster, and more than likely will play in the minors in 2018-19.

Betker was sent down to AHL Bakersfield on Friday.
The 22-year-old didn't appear in a game in his brief stint in the NHL. With fellow defenseman Matthew Benning getting promoted, it seems like Betker might not see NHL playing time for awhile.

Oilers' Ben Betker: Called up Wednesday
Betker was recalled from AHL Bakersfield on Wednesday.
With Mark Fayne (undisclosed) landing on injured reserve Wednesday, the Oilers called up Betker to fill the void on the blue line. While the 22-year-old has the size (six-foot-six, 223-pounds) to impose upon an opponent's attack, he has only 14 games of AHL experience under his belt and will likely only stick around until Fayne is healthy.
