Kings' Zack Mitchell: Inks two-way deal with LA
Mitchell signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Kings on Saturday.
Mitchell spent the majority of the 2017-18 campaign in the minors, racking up 16 goals and 33 points in 42 contests with AHL Iowa, but he also logged 23 games with the Wild, totaling three goals and five points over that span. The 25-year-old winger will likely split time between the AHL and NHL again in 2018-19.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Suits up for 23 games
Mitchell recorded three goals and two assists in 23 games during 2017-18, throwing 17 total shots on goal and averaging 10:32 of ice time.
This was Mitchell's second season bouncing up and down from the minors to the NHL, although he was only able to play in 11 games in 2016-17, seeing a sturdier role in his second professional season. However, Mitchell only skated for two games after Dec. 30, although he was able to maintain a high level of play in the minors, notching 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) in 42 games. The Ontario native should have a chance to push for a roster spot out of training camp, but will need a new contract as he's set to become a free agent.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Shipped off to Iowa
Mitchell was reassigned to the minors Monday.
Mitchell has played in just two of the Wild's previous six outings, in which he averaged a paltry 8:40 of ice time. The Ontario native will return to AHL Iowa, where he has been significantly more impactful -- scoring 29 points in 33 contests. The move to demote the 25-year-old will create room for newly signed Jordan Greenway to join the club for the rest of the season.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Returns to NHL
Mitchell was recalled from the Iowa Wild of the AHL on Wednesday, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Mitchell has already skated in 21 games for Minnesota this season, recording a meager three goals and five points. That said, Mitchell has demonstrated his offensive abilities in what has been a breakthrough campaign with AHL Iowa, potting 14 goals and adding 14 assists for 28 points in just 33 games. Expect Mitchell to fill a bottom-six role if he's able to crack the lineup.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Demoted to minors

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Sent to waiver wire
Mitchell was waived by the Wild on Monday.
With veteran point-producer Zach Parise (back) on the verge of returning, Mitchell was deemed expendable. It's tough to complain about how the fourth-liner has played this season, as he's scored three times on 16 shots with a pair of assists through 21 games. That's solid production for a guy who's only been averaging 10:43 of ice time, so we wouldn't be surprised if another team claims the 24-year-old off the waiver wire.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Scores second goal of season
Mitchell scored his second goal of the season in 13:10 of ice time in Saturday's loss to St. Louis.
Mitchell has just three shots on goal in the three game since he was recalled from AHL Iowa, but he had over 10 minutes of ice time the past two games. He could get a larger role as his goal Saturday came on the power play, where he hasn't had much ice time and it's where the Wild have struggled lately.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Called up from minors
Mitchell was promoted from AHL Iowa on Thursday.
Following the news that Landon Ferraro (hip) is expected to miss at least a week, the Wild once again needed to add some depth at the forward position -- this time adding Mitchell for his second call-up of the season. In his previous stint, the winger averaged 11:58 of ice time while notching just two shots on goal, two hits and one block. If the team can ever get healthy, Mitchell will likely head back to the minors.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Promoted to NHL
Mitchell was called up from AHL Iowa on Wednesday, TSN reports.
It's been quite a whirlwind for Mitchell this year. He re-signed with the Wild in the summer, only to be waived in late September and having gone full circle between the NHL and AHL last week. Clearly, he's an organizational depth option for a Wild team that has been decimated with injuries up front.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Sent down Saturday
Mitchell was demoted to AHL Iowa following Saturday's loss to Columbus.
The 24-year-old forward was able to record an assist in the under five minutes of ice that he received Saturday and will remain in the minors until at least Friday, when Minnesota next hits the ice. Mitchell suited up in 11 NHL games in 2016-17, and it's likely that he'll bounce between AHL Iowa and Minnesota in 2017-18, as well.

The winger didn't produce much in his previous NHL stint, with no points in 10 games. In the minors he's been better, notching 14 points in 39 games. Whether that scoring will translate to the NHL this time up is yet to be seen, but fantasy players should take a wait-and-see approach.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Sent down to AHL Iowa
Mitchell was reassigned to the minors Monday.
After being called up from AHL Iowa in early November, Mitchell will end his stint in the majors as a healthy scratch in back-to-back outings. The 23-year-old barely contributed even when he was in the lineup, as he failed to record a point and averaged a meager 8:39 of ice time in his 10 appearances. The winger heads back to the minors where he has been equally unproductive with one goal in 11 outings.

Wild's Zack Mitchell: Healthy scratch
Mitchell was a healthy scratch in Friday's loss to Calgary. "He has good games and then he'll be inconsistent, which a lot of American League guys tend to do," head coach Bruce Boudreau told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "He's played every position for us and hasn't hindered us. He was on his first goal against in the 10 games [in Vancouver]."
Mitchell led AHL Iowa with 22 goals and 42 points in 70 games last season, but doesn't have a point and just nine shots on goal in 10 games since being called up from AHL Iowa. It sounds like he could be on the bench most nights.

Mitchell led AHL Iowa with 22 goals and 42 points in 70 games last season, but had just one goal in 11 games in Iowa this season. However, he started slow after missing training camp with an ankle injury. He may not get much ice time, however, when Zach Parise (foot) returns.
