MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -- Mike Dean had 13 points to help lead Middle Tennessee State to a 75-54 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night.
MTSU (5-2) went on 11-0 run to open game and led the whole game.
MTSU, which lost 71-58 to Mississippi Valley two weeks earlier, also received 12 and seven rebounds from Michael Cuffee and 10 points from Alex Weekes.
Mississippi Valley (2-4) was led by 16 points from Jessie Taylor and 11 points from Solomon Forbes.
Middle Tennessee shot 52 percent from the field, including 58 percent in the second half. Mississippi Valley State was held to 33 percent shooting, including 5-of-17 from 3-point range.
