LONG BEACH , Calif. (AP) -- Davin White scored a career-high 28 points and Ian Boylan added 19 to lead Cal State Northridge to a 69-53 victory Saturday over Long Beach State.
White went 10-for-15 from the field, including five 3-pointers, and Boylan made seven of 11 as the Matadors (6-7, 4-1 Big West Conference) won their fourth straight.
Leading 28-26 at halftime, Northridge went on an 12-3 run to open the second half and built a 40-31 lead with 15:28 remaining.
White and Boylan dominated the rest of the way, scoring 17 and 15, respectively, in the second half.
The Matadors shot 62.5 percent (15-24) in the second half and increased their lead to 22 points on a basket by Boylan with 3:33 left.
Onye Ibekwe scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the 49ers, who had 22 turnovers in the game.
Jibril Hodges led Long Beach State (2-11, 0-4) with 14 points.
Both teams shot under 40 percent in the first half and combined for 24 fouls and 21 turnovers.
