RUSTON, La. (AP) -- Donovan Morris scored 16 points as Fresno State held off Louisiana Tech to win 60-58 on Saturday night.
Paul Millsap's desperation shot fell short after Fresno State used up fouls it had to give to keep Tech from getting a good look at an open shot.
Quick fouls by Dominic White and Donovan Morris forced the Bulldogs to keep trying to make an inbound pass for an open shot and Fresno State's Mustfa Al-Sayyad got his hand on the final inbound pass to eat another second off the clock and force Millsap to launch a desperation shot from the corner.
Dreike Bouldin added 10 points and a career-best 23 rebounds for Fresno (9-4, 3-1 Western Athletic Conference). FSU outrebounded Tech 48-40.
Tech (6-7, 1-3) connected on 30 percent, or 22-of-74, of its shots from the floor for the game while Fresno State turned in a 41 shooting percentage, 24-of-58.
Daevon Haskins scored 14 points, six rebounds and eight assists to lead Tech while Millsap added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
