NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -Michael Deloach scored 31 points and Norfolk State cruised to an 82-62 victory over South Carolina State on Monday night.
Deloach was 12-for-17 from the field and added three rebounds, four assists and five steals for the Spartans (9-17, 7-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).
Norfolk State scored 33 points off 22 Bulldogs turnovers to win its fourth straight game and sixth of the last seven.
The Spartans built a 36-22 halftime lead. South Carolina State (14-12, 8-6) cut the margin to nine at 57-44 with 7:02 left, but could get no closer to lose its third straight game.
Norfolk State outshot the Bulldogs 54.2 percent (32-for-59) to 45.6 percent (26-for-57). South Carolina State was 4-for-11 from the free throw line.
Rod Hampton added 19 points and five assists for Norfolk State.
Jason Flagler led the Bulldogs with 16 points and Darnell Porter had 13.
