Milton Williams NE DE
Patriots' Milton Williams: Seems ready to return Week 18
8h agoWilliams (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against Miami.
Williams remains on IR -- where he's been since mid-November -- but was able to log a full practice Friday. Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said the likelihood of Williams being activated in time to play Week 18 "looks good" when asked Friday, per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. Williams' return would be a nice boost for New England's defensive line ahead of the playoffs, as he posted 27 tackles, including 3.5 sacks, and a defensed pass over 11 contests prior to getting hurt.

Jason Sanders MIA K
Dolphins' Jason Sanders: Uncertain for Week 18
8h agoSanders (hip) has been deemed questionable for Sunday's matchup versus New England.
Sanders hasn't appeared in a regular-season game during the current campaign after injuring his hip in preseason. He had his practice window opened in mid-December and logged a trio of limited practices this week, but he remains on IR and would need to be activated in order to be able to suit up Sunday. Riley Patterson has operated as the Dolphins' kicker in all 16 contests to this point and has been very accurate, making 26 of 28 field-goal attempts and 33 of 34 extra-point tries.

Cole Van Lanen JAC G
Jaguars' Cole Van Lanen: Inks three-year extension
11h agoThe Jaguars signed Van Lanen to a three-year, $51 million extension Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
According to Schefter, the deal contains $32.5 million guaranteed and can be worth up to $55 million. Selected in the sixth round of the 2021 Draft by the Packers, Van Lanen was traded to Jacksonville following his rookie season and started just three games across his first four NFL seasons. Van Lanen, however, started at left guard in Week 10 this season and never looked back. He started Weeks 11 and 12 at right tackle and has played the past four games at left tackle. Van Lanen has played every position on the offensive line outside of center. Van Lanen is now signed through the 2028 season.

Dylan Parham LV G
Raiders' Dylan Parham: Out for Week 18 finale
11h agoParham (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Paul H. Gutierrez of the Raiders' official site reports.
Parham's regular season comes to an end. After starting 63 of 64 games in which he appeared across his first four seasons with Las Vegas, Parham is scheduled to be a free agent this offseason.
-
Karene Reid DEN LB
Broncos' Karene Reid: Out again for Week 18
11h agoReid (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Reid remains on injured reserve, though his 21-day practice window was opened Dec. 17, meaning the Broncos will need to make a decision on Reid early next week. The rookie linebacker has logged 171 snaps on special teams across 10 games this season, producing five tackles (four solo).
-
Benjamin St-Juste LAC CB
Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Questionable for Week 18
11h agoSt-Juste (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
St-Juste earned the questionable tag for Week 18 after an LP/LP/FP practice log, giving him a chance to return from a one-game absence due to a shoulder injury. The fifth-year corner has worked in a rotational role in the secondary while also contributing on special teams and has accumulated 34 tackles (21 solo) and six pass defenses (one interception) across 15 regular-season games. Deane Leonard would be in line for more defensive snaps if St-Juste is unable to play in Sunday's regular-season finale.
-
Kaleb Ort HOU RP
Astros' Kaleb Ort: Dropped from 40-man
16h agoThe Astros designated Ort (elbow) for assignment Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Ort posted a 4.89 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 46 innings with the Astros in 2025 before missing the final month of the season due to elbow inflammation. He'll now lose his place on Houston's 40-man roster to make room for Tatsuya Imai.
-
Ryan Fitzgerald MIN 3B
Twins' Ryan Fitzgerald: Booted off 40-man roster
18h agoThe Twins designated Fitzgerald for assignment Friday.
The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Eric Wagaman, who was acquired via trade. Fitzgerald reached the majors for the first time in 2025 shortly before turning 31, finishing with a .196/.302/.457 batting line with four home runs in 24 games for the Twins. He's a versatile defender, which could mean there will be interest in Fitzgerald on waivers.
-
Eric Wagaman MIN 1B
Twins' Eric Wagaman: Traded to Minnesota
18h agoThe Twins acquired Wagaman from the Marlins on Friday in exchange for Kade Bragg.
Wagaman had been designated for assignment earlier this week and is now on the move to a new club. The 28-year-old slashed .250/.296/.378 with nine home runs across 140 games for the Marlins this season and is capable of handling the corner infield and outfield spots. The right-handed-hitting Wagaman sported a .283/.321/.462 batting line against lefties in 2025, so much of his playing time in Minnesota could come versus southpaws.

David Fry CLE C
Guardians' David Fry: Ticketed to play defense in 2026
1d agoFry (face) is expected to resume playing on the field in 2026, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. An elbow injury limited Fry to designated hitter and pinch hitting duties in 2025.
During the winter meetings, Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt had an encouraging update on Fry, who underwent surgery to repair nasal fractures after taking a pitch from Tarik Skubal off his face Sept. 23. "I'm just excited that David is going to be healthy," Vogt said. "David healthy, him being able to catch and play the field a little bit, too, probably, it just adds a completely different dynamic to our team." With more time removed from the UCL surgery he underwent in November of 2024, Fry is expected to resume playing defense as a third catcher while also getting time at the corners in the infield and outfield. Fry's ability to hit lefties -- he had a .996 OPS against southpaws in 2024 -- should provide a boost to Guardians, who ranked 27th (.647 OPS) against left-handers in 2025.
-
Matt Fraizer PIT CF
Red Sox's Matt Fraizer: Inks deal with Boston
1d agoThe Red Sox signed Fraizer to a minor-league deal Thursday, per MiLB Central's Chase Ford. Fraizer confirmed the signing on his personal Instagram account.
Fraizer joins a team with an outfield logjam in the majors but lacks depth in the minors. He batted .305 with an .813 OPS across 62 games for Triple-A Indianapolis in 2025. A third-round draft pick of the Pirates out of the University of Arizona in 2019, Fraizer spent the last half-decade with Pittsburgh's affiliates before electing free agency last November. He can play all three outfield positions and is expected to do so at Triple-A Worcester when the 2026 season opens.
-
Marcelo Mayer BOS SS
Red Sox's Marcelo Mayer: Should be ready Opening Day
1d agoMayer (wrist) is expected to be read for Opening Day, Lauren Campbell of MassLive.com reports.
Mayer is recovering from last August's right wrist arthroscopy that ended his season after 44 games. Offseason updates suggested he could have played in the postseason had Boston extended its run, which suggests Mayer will be available for spring training. Depending on roster additions, the 23-year-old infielder could play one of three infield positions: second base, shortstop or third base. Mayer could return to shortstop, the position he played prior to the Red Sox drafting him in 2021, due to a downturn in shortstop Trevor Story's defense (minus-9 OAA) in 2025. In that scenario, Story would move to second base.

OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Double-doubles in loss
7h agoAnunoby logged 19 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds, two steals and one assist in 35 minutes during Friday's 111-99 loss to the Hawks.
The Knicks shot just 21.4 percent from beyond the arc as a team, and Anunoby didn't help that number with a lackluster shooting performance of his own. He has been cold from three-point range of late, shooting just 23.6 percent from downtown over his last 10 appearances. On a more positive note, he still finished as New York's second-leading scorer and grabbed 10 rebounds, securing his third double-double in his last four appearances.
-
Ariel Hukporti NY C
Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Grabs 16 boards in defeat
7h agoHukporti chipped in eight points (2-4 FG, 4-4 FT), 16 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and one steal over 28 minutes during Friday's 111-99 loss to the Hawks.
With Karl-Anthony Towns (illness) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) sidelined for the front end of New York's back-to-back set, Hukporti got the starting nod for the fourth time this season. The second-year center made the most of the opportunity, grabbing a game- and career-high 16 rebounds. He also set a new season-best mark in blocks, matching his career high. Hukporti doesn't offer much fantasy value but could be a viable streaming option whenever Towns and Mitchell are both unavailable.
-
Jalen Brunson NY PG
Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Paces New York in loss
7h agoBrunson supplied 24 points (10-23 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five assists, two rebounds and one steal in 35 minutes during Friday's 111-99 loss to Atlanta.
Although he struggled mightily from three-point range, Brunson still finished as New York's leading scorer. However, he dished out fewer than six assists for the fourth time in his last 10 games. The star point guard has scored at least 22 points in 13 straight outings, and he will look to extend that streak during the second leg of this back-to-back set in Saturday's matchup against the 76ers.
-
Zaccharie Risacher ATL SF
Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Chips in 12 points in win
8h agoRisacher supplied 12 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 22 minutes during Friday's 111-99 victory over the Knicks.
Risacher delivered a more efficient performance than he did during Wednesday's win over Minnesota, when he shot 40.0 percent from the field and finished with nine points. Still, the 2024 No. 1 overall pick has yet to take a step forward compared to his rookie season, and he has scored in single digits in three of his last five games. During that stretch, he has averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per tilt.
-
Kristaps Porzingis ATL C
Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Shooting woes in win
8h agoPorzingis racked up four points (1-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 17 minutes during Friday's 111-99 win over New York.
Porzingis is still seemingly on a minutes restriction following a 10-game absence due to an illness, and he struggled to find his groove in his second game back from the extended absence Friday. The big man delivered his least efficient performance of the season and put up single-digit shot attempts for just the second time across 15 regular-season appearances. With Onyeka Okongwu's high level of play this season, it wouldn't be surprising to see Porzingis remain in a bench role going forward, especially if his health continues to be a concern.
-
Onyeka Okongwu ATL C
Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Full stat line in win
8h agoOkongwu recorded 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks in 30 minutes during Friday's 111-99 victory over New York.
Okongwu turned in an efficient performance Friday, matching the team-high mark in points. The big man was productive across the board, particularly on the defensive end, where he tallied multiple steals and multiple blocks for the seventh time this season. Okongwu is in the midst of a career year and has scored 23-plus points in three of his last four outings, during which he has averaged 24.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals across 32.0 minutes per contest.
-
Brock Boeser VAN RW
Canucks' Brock Boeser: Snags helper Friday
6h agoBoeser recorded a power-play assist, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.
Boeser has just two helpers over 14 games since the start of December. The 28-year-old winger should benefit from Elias Pettersson being healthy again, but Boeser has a lot of work to do to get his season on track. Through 38 appearances, the winger has 18 points (six on the power play), 81 shots on net, 20 hits and a minus-18 rating despite regularly filling a top-six role.
-
Linus Karlsson VAN C
Canucks' Linus Karlsson: Tallies after signing new deal
6h agoKarlsson scored a goal in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.
Karlsson's two-year extension was announced before the game, and the 26-year-old celebrated by scoring the tying goal at 6:15 of the third period. He's produced five goals and two helpers over his last eight outings. Karlsson is up to 10 tallies, 17 points, 52 shots on net, 51 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 37 appearances this season as one of the Canucks' pleasant surprises in the bottom six.
-
Kiefer Sherwood VAN LW
Canucks' Kiefer Sherwood: Strikes on power play Friday
6h agoSherwood scored a power-play goal on two shots and added five hits in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.
Sherwood's offense has been anything but consistent lately -- he ended a five-game slump with his second-period tally. He's scored five goals over his last 18 games, but three of them came versus the Islanders on Dec. 19. Over that span, he's still racked up 93 hits, and he remains highly valuable in banger leagues. Sherwood has produced 17 goals, four assists, 96 shots on net, 189 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 40 appearances.
-
Jake DeBrusk VAN LW
Canucks' Jake DeBrusk: Three-point effort in shootout loss
6h agoDeBrusk scored a power-play goal on five shots and added two assists in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.
One of his helpers also came on the power play. DeBrusk was a healthy scratch Monday versus the Kraken amid a stretch of 16 games in which he had one goal and six assists. He didn't get on the scoresheet Tuesday, but he finally had a big performance Friday despite the end result. DeBrusk is up to 10 goals, 20 points (11 on the power play), 109 shots on net, 35 hits and a minus-10 rating through 39 appearances. The 29-year-old is playing at the lower end of his usual production, but he remains on pace to reach the 40-point mark.
-
Thatcher Demko VAN G
Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Falls in shootout
7h agoDemko stopped 25 of 28 shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.
Demko gave up all three goals in the first two periods, but the Canucks were able to pull even against an opponent that was on the second half of a back-to-back. The 30-year-old netminder wasn't able to guide this game home to a win, as he gave up the lone tally of the shootout to Matty Beniers in the third round. Demko is 0-3-1 with 16 goals allowed on 133 shots over his last four outings. He's down to 8-8-1 with a 2.72 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 18 contests overall. Kevin Lankinen is likely to get the nod for Saturday's game versus the Bruins, which closes out the homestand before the Canucks head east on a six-game road trip.
-
Cale Fleury SEA D
Kraken's Cale Fleury: First goal in over six years
7h agoFleury scored a goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canucks.
Fleury netted his first goal since the 2019-20 campaign with the Canadiens. He's been in the Kraken organization since the team's expansion draft in July of 2021, and this was his first goal in a Seattle uniform. In total, he has a career-best two points through nine outings this season and a total of four points across 45 appearances for the Kraken. He'll likely get a chance to play regularly while Brandon Montour (hand) is out, though Josh Mahura could push him for playing time as well.
