SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Back in the leadoff spot, Randy Winn is adjusting his game accordingly.

Winn had two bunt singles for San Francisco and attempted to bunt two other times Sunday during Milwaukee's 1-0 victory over the Giants.

A switch-hitter, Winn also had a bunt single on Saturday.

"The last year and a half I hit in the 3-hole and there weren't as many opportunities to bunt," Winn said. "If it's something you are going to take with you into the season, it's something you have to do in spring training. My spring has been a progression. You try to get comfortable in the box, see pitches. Now I'm at the point where I've done those things and I'm trying to get comfortable getting some bunts down from both sides."

Rickie Weeks hit his third home run of the spring to account for the scoring.

Milwaukee right-hander Mark DiFelice started and gave up only one hit, Winn's bunt single down the third-base line in the first inning. DiFelice, fighting for a job in the bullpen, started when Yovani Gallardo pitched in a minor league game at the Brewers' complex.

San Francisco right-hander Joe Martinez pitched four shutout innings, starting when Randy Johnson pitched in a camp game against Giants minor leaguers.

Johnson and Gallardo are scheduled to face each other in the second game of the regular season, April 8 in San Francisco.

Jason Kendall had two of the Brewers' seven hits. J.J. Hardy went 1-for-2, improving his batting average to. 439.

Giants first baseman Travis Ishikawa singled and walked and is hitting .343. He also made a diving stop of Mike Lamb's grounder in the hole between first and second and flipped to reliever Keiichi Yabu for the out. Weeks homered as the next batter.

Ishikawa leads the Giants with four home runs and has 14 RBI while cementing his hold on the first base job. Already considered a good fielder, Ishikawa has spent time this spring working on the finer points of defense with former Giants Gold Glove first basemen Will Clark and J.T. Snow.

"That's a first baseman's dream. It doesn't get any better than that," Ishikawa said. "Your offense might not always be there, but it's about defense as well."

    Notes

Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval (ankle) was held out of the game after sustaining a slight sprain while attempting to get out of the way of an inside pitch Saturday against San Diego. ... San Francisco optioned RHP Osiris Matos and OF John Bowker to Triple-A Fresno, and reassigned C Buster Posey to minor league camp after the game. "The experience for me was good because it gave me a chance to see the speed of the game. I feel like I made the adjustment pretty well," said Posey, who hit .300 with two homers in 30 spring training at-bats. Posey got a $6.2 million bonus as the Giants' first pick in the 2008 draft. He is expected to start the season at Class-A San Jose. ... Giants OF Nate Schierholtz played in a minor league game for the second straight day to get at-bats, manager Bruce Bochy said. Schierholtz executed a perfect hit-and-run single in his second at-bat.
