PHILADELPHIA -- David Wright still doesn't feel completely comfortable in his second game back from injury, though he's not showing it.
"I felt OK, I've been lucky getting in some hitters' counts," Wright said. "Still defensively not reacting the way I want to. That's gonna take more than two games."
The teams played in the rain before the game was halted, and it was called after a wait of 1 hour, 28 minutes.
Wright connected for the third consecutive game and second straight day since returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for more than a month. He has the most homers by any visiting player at Citizens Bank Park with 19.
Wright drew a walk with one out in the seventh, heading to first base as the Phillies were already coming off the field because of the rain delay.
"It means a lot obviously," Mets starter Dillon Gee said of Wright's return. "He comes back and in two games hits two home runs. He's an unbelievable player. I know we're glad to have him back."
The Mets have won five of their last six series in Philadelphia.
Murphy broke a 1-all tie with a homer in a four-run sixth. His 12th homer of the season tied a career high set in 2009.
Juan Lagares chased Phillies starter Tyler Cloyd (2-6) from the game with a two-run triple in the sixth. Lagares was 1 for 31 at the plate before the hit.
Dillon Gee (12-10) yielded four runs on seven hits with a walk while going the distance. Three of those runs came in a rain-soaked sixth inning.
"I knew that the mound was a little wet, the ball was probably a little wet, but up until then he pitched very well," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "Dillon's just continued to do what he's pretty much been doing the entire second half, and that's make pitch after pitch. In the sixth all of a sudden it was gone, but it could've been the conditions."
Cloyd lasted just five-plus innings for Philadelphia and allowed five runs on six hits, two walks and a hit batsman. In his last four starts, he has surrendered 22 runs in 19 innings.
"He seems to struggle sometimes seeing the lineup the second time," Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said. "He'll have another chance to pitch."
Domonic Brown singled in the second, made it to third on Darin Ruf's infield hit and scored on a sacrifice fly, barely avoiding catcher Travis d'Arnaud's tag.
"He's running good. He's 100 percent," Sandberg said. "He did some good baserunning tonight and set up the first run."
Cesar Hernandez, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley hit consecutive doubles in the sixth to spark a three-run inning. Carlos Ruiz picked up an RBI groundout and Utley scored on a wild pitch.
The Mets said RHP Zack Wheeler will be shut down for the remainder of the year. Wheeler went 7-5 with a 3.42 ERA in his rookie season. ... Collins said Wright will still get his scheduled day off Sunday, despite playing just six innings Saturday. ... Before the game, fans gave a loud ovation for Charlie Manuel, who was not present but received the Phillies' Dallas Green Award for Special Achievement. Manuel won his 1,000th career game as manager days before he was fired on Aug. 16. Rollins and Utley accepted the award in his absence. ... In the series finale and the Phillies' final home game of the year on Sunday, LHP Cliff Lee (14-6, 2.95) will oppose Mets RHP Carlos Torres (3-5, 3.48).
