Jaguars receiver Ace Sanders announced Tuesday that he was taking a leave of absence from training camp and beyond because of "personal issues." Sanders wouldn't specify except to say he's going to get some counseling and that he expects to receive a four-game suspension from the NFL for violating their substance abuse policy. He's not expected to participate in training camp or the preseason.
Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrickwas held out of Sunday's practice after sustaining an apparent hamstring injury on Saturday, ESPN reports. The injury is not considered to be serious enough to keep him out an extended period of time.
The Bengals will open their preseason Aug. 7 at Kansas City.
Bengals receiver Marvin Jones was placed on the PUP list with an ankle injury Monday, but it's just a tweak and he's expected to practice this week, reports Pro Football Talk. The Bengals open training camp Thursday.
