10/24/16DBJahleel AddaeCollarboneQUESTIONABLEAddae (collarbone) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Broncos, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Addae's status appears to be on the upswing for next week's contest, as the safety was able to practice with the Chargers on Thursday, albeit on a limited basis. For this week, however, Adrian Phillips is expected to get the start in place of Addae.

10/24/16LBJeremiah AttaochuAnkleQUESTIONABLEAttaochu (ankle) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Attaochu couldn't practice this week and wasn't expected to suit up. Tourek Williams is likely in line for additional snaps at outside linebacker.

10/24/16DBBrandon FlowersConcussionQUESTIONABLEFlowers (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Broncos, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Flowers was able to practice on a limited basis Thursday, but that wasn't enough to convince the Chargers to activate the corner for Sunday's game, marking the fourth straight game the 30-year-old will miss with symptoms stemming from his Week 3 concussion. Look for Casey Hayward to get the start at corner once again.

09/09/16WRRasheed BaileyAnkleQUESTIONABLEBailey (ankle) reached an injury settlement with the Chargers on Friday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Bailey signed with the Chargers in early-August, but didn't see a minute of preseason action. The agreement removes him from the team's injured reserve list, leaving him free to sign with another team.

10/24/16DBMarcus BurleyHamstringQUESTIONABLEBurley (hamstring) will not play Sunday against the Bengals, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Burley exited last week's game against the Titans with a strained hamstring and was unable to practice all week. Given this complete lack of participation, it's possible the injury may be more severe than initially let on. It's uncertain when he'll be able to return.

10/24/16WRCorey ColemanHandOUTColeman (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Cincinnati, the Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich reports.

This was a mere formality, considering Coleman still hasn't returned to practice since breaking his hand prior to Week 3. With Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) potentially also sidelined, the Browns may need to rely on rookies Ricardo Louis and Rashard Higgins, in addition to veteran slot man Andrew Hawkins. Once healthy, Coleman figures to join Pryor in the starting lineup.

10/24/16WRSeth DeValveKneeQUESTIONABLEDeValve (knee) will not play Sunday against the Bengals, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

DeValve will now sit out his fourth consecutive game. Connor Hamlett will continue to serve as Gary Barnidge's direct backup.

    (Updated 10/21/2016)
10/24/16DBJoe HadenGroinQUESTIONABLEHaden (groin) is inactive for Sunday's matchup in Cincinnati.

After failing to take the practice field this week, it's no surprise to see Haden held out for the afternoon matchup. Look for Briean Boddy-Calhoun to draw the start at cornerback in Haden's stead, as was the case in Week 6's matchup against Tennessee. The lack of depth could mean a big day ahead for opposing wideout A.J. Green.

10/24/16QBJosh McCownCollarboneQUESTIONABLEWith Cody Kessler entering the concussion protocol, McCown (collarbone) could return as the starting quarterback for Week 8 against the Jets, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Kessler has seemingly played well enough to retain the starting job, but he was knocked out of Sunday's game against the Bengals, which forced the Browns to turn to Kevin Hogan -- the team's fifth quarterback this season. McCown still hasn't been cleared to play, but if he does gain clearance this upcoming week, he'll presumably be ahead of Hogan. It is possible Kessler will be ready, in which case he'd likely get the start.

    (Updated 10/23/2016)
10/17/16DLXavier CooperShoulderQUESTIONABLECooper (shoulder) is active for Sunday's matchup in Cincinnati.

Cooper logged a week of limited practices, putting him in line to play after sitting out the Week 6 matchup in Tennessee. His presence on the defensive line will help bolster a unit that is surrendering 118 yards per game on the ground this season -- good for sixth-worst in the NFL.

10/04/16WRJosh GordonSuspensionSUSPENDGordon will likely be released by the Browns, NFL.com reports.

As hinted by head coach Hue Jackson, the team no longer has any plans for Gordon, who will enter an in-patient rehab facility instead of returning from his suspension in Week 5. It's unclear how long Gordon will stay in the facility and when/if he plans to play again this season, but he should eventually draw interest around the league, unless he failed a drug test -- in which case he'd likely be suspended yet again.

    (Updated 09/30/2016)
07/31/16DBTrey CaldwellHamstringQUESTIONABLECaldwell suffered a hamstring injury during the onset of training camp, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

It's currently unclear whether the hamstring was merely tweaked or if Caldwell has suffered something worse. Either way, there has been no timeline provided for his return. When healthy, the Browns' fifth-round pick will compete for a role out of the slot.

    (Updated 07/31/2016)
07/28/16DLDesmond BryantChestOUTBryant (chest) has been placed on the injured reserve list and will sit out the entire season, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Entering his eighth NFL season and fourth with the Browns, Bryant was a lock to start at defensive end after a 2015 campaign which saw him record a career-high and team-leading six sacks. The torn pectoral muscle he suffered earlier this month was originally thought to keep him out 4-to-6 months, making November the soonest possible return date. Rather than push his recovery in the hopes of a return the team decided it best to shut him down for the season. Carl Nassib appears first in line to replace Bryant, but John Hughes and Dylan Wynn could see some extra snaps as well.
