Ravens defensive lineman Kapron Lewis-Moore suffered a serious Achilles injury Sunday that likely will end his season, coach John Harbaugh told reporters. The 2013 sixth-round pick did not play at all last season while recovering from an ACL injury.
Under new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, the Ravens have a different mindset and plan to be a run-first team again, reports ESPN.com. The revamped offensive line has pushed defenders off the line, and running backs Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce "are lighter, and as a result, more explosive," the report said.
Steelers outside linebacker Jason Worildswas forced out of Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles in Philadelphia with a right knee injury. He left the game in the second half and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. He left the game as a precaution, and structurally, his knee is "fine" per the NFL Network. He registered three total tackles before leaving the game.
Steelers rookie tight end Rob Blanchflower has a high ankle sprain that will keep him out at least a week, coach Mike Tomlin told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Blanchflower is a seventh-round pick out of UMass.
