05/17/13DLBruce IrvinSuspension Seattle defensive end Bruce Irvin has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances, the team reported Friday. Irvin will be eligible to return to the Seahawks' active roster on Monday, Sept. 30 following the team's Sept. 29 game against the Texans. Irvin is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games. "I want to apologize to my teammates, coaches and Seahawks fans for making a mistake when I took a substance that is prohibited in the NFL without a medical exemption," Irvin said in a statement. "I am extremely disappointed in the poor judgment I showed and take full responsibility for my actions. I will not appeal the discipline and instead will focus my energy on preparing for the season so I can begin earning your trust and respect again. I look forward to contributing to the team the moment I return." (Updated 05/17/2013)

01/16/13WRSidney RiceKnee The Seattle Times reports that Seahawks receiver Sidney Rice was on crutches due to a knee injury on Monday following the playoff ouster at Atlanta. 01/15/13TEZach MillerFoot During the Seahawks' 30-28 loss to the Falcons in the Divisional playoffs, Seattle tight end Zach Miller had his best game of the season, recording eight catches for 142 yards and a touchdown. In fact, his performance was statistically his best since Week 4 of 2010. The most amazing part of his game? As the Seattle Times reports, Miller tore his plantar fascia on the third play of the game, returned to the locker room to get a pain-killing injection in his foot and then helped the Seahawks to a near-amazing comeback. "It was nice to get some balls like that," Miller said after the game. "But I'm disappointed that we didn't win when we were so close. If there is any solace, I don't feel it right now." The next day, as the Seahawks cleaned out their lockers for the offseason, Miller was spotted using crutches. (Updated 01/15/2013)

He said he will not reconsider the Bears after their lowball offer. (Updated 03/22/2013)
01/16/13WRBrandon MarshallHip While Brandon Marshall said last week he was sure he'd begin 2013 "100 percent healthy," Bears general manager Phil Emery had other news. Emery said Marshall would be sidelined for the team's April minicamp following hip surgery. No word was given as to if he'd actually miss the start of training camp. (Updated 04/16/2013)
