One of the players on the Washington Redskins defense that has drawn the most-critical eye since his arrival has been outside linebacker Trent Murphy.

10/02/16WRKamar AikenTHIGHQUESTIONABLEAiken (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Oakland.

With just five catches in three games, Aiken has fallen victim to a depth chart that's much deeper than last season's. He's still a key contributor on special teams, but Breshad Perriman and Chris Moore have increasingly cut into Aiken's offensive snaps. His absence wouldn't have much impact on Baltimore's gameplan.

10/02/16RBKenneth DixonKNEEDOUBTFULThough Dixon (knee) was spotted at practice Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com suggests that Week 5 "is the realistic target" for the rookie running back's return to action.

For his part, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun notes that Dixon "was mostly working out on his own" Wednesday, but the running back's presence on the field, in any capacity, is nonetheless a good sign with regard to Dixon's chances of factoring into the Ravens' backfield mix sooner rather than later.

10/02/16LBElvis DumervilFOOTQUESTIONABLEDumervil (foot) will play Sunday against the Raiders.

After returning to practice on Wednesday the linebacker confirmed he will be making his season debut on Sunday. The veteran could see his reps heavily monitored as the team does not want to risk the injury resurfacing. The return of Dumervil, who recorded 48 tackles and six sacks last season, is a huge boost for the Ravens' defense as the team looks to improve to 4-0 on the season.

10/02/16WRDevin HesterTHIGHQUESTIONABLEHester (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Strictly a return specialist at this stage in his career, Hester still appears to have his speed, but he muffed a punt in last week's win over the Jaguars. If he misses Sunday's game, the Ravens could turn to any of Lardarius Webb, Steve Smith, Chris Moore, Tavon Young or Terrance West in the return game.

10/02/16DTTimmy JerniganKNEEQUESTIONABLEJernigan returned to practice on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Jernigan returns to the practice field after missing the past week with a rib injury. The Ravens take on the Panthers on Thursday in their preseason opener which Jernigan could play in. Look for more updates to come later in the week.

09/07/16DBCarrington ByndomUndisclosedQUESTIONABLEByndom (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement with the Ravens on Wednesday, Jayson Braddock of SportsTalk 790 reports.

It's unclear why Byndom landed on injured reserve in the first place, but he's now eligible to sign elsewhere.

07/29/16TENick BoyleSuspensionSUSPENDBoyle has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2016 campaign due to a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Boyle was utilized sparsely as a rookie in 2015, hauling in 18 balls for 153 yards over the course of 11 games. However, he received his first suspension related to PEDs on Dec. 7 and subsequently missed the final four contests of the season. With Boyle out of the picture for most of next season, the Ravens rely upon Crockett Gillmore (back) and Maxx Williams to man tight end.

    (Updated 02/19/2016)
07/29/16WRDarren WallerSuspensionSUSPENDWaller (suspension) was forced to exit Saturday's win over the Colts to be tested for a concussion.

Waller was able to pass the concussion tests and he won't be forced to miss any practice time, though he was unable to return on Saturday. He finished the game without a single target.

10/02/16CBBashaud BreelandANKLEOUTBreeland (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 4.

Breeland is week-to-week with a strained tendon in his ankle he suffered in Week 3 against the Giants.

    (Updated 09/30/2016)
10/02/16WRJosh DoctsonACHILLESOUTDoctson (Achilles) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Doctson will miss a second straight game and could be out beyond Sunday, as his troublesome Achilles still hasn't fully healed. The rookie only had a limited role Weeks 1 and 2, but his absence did allow Pierre Garcon to play a season-high 55 snaps in Week 3 against the Giants. Already hindered by a crowded depth chart, Doctson seems increasingly unlikely to have a big year-one impact.

    (Updated 09/30/2016)
10/02/16GShawn LauvaoANKLEOUTThe Redskins have given the thumbs-down to defensive lineman Chris Baker (chest) and tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) for the Sunday game in San Francisco. Offensive linemen Trent Williams (knee/ankle) and Shawn Lauvao (concussion) are questionable.
10/02/16LBTrent MurphyELBOW, SHOULDERQUESTIONABLEMurphy (elbow) is questionable to play in Week 4 against the Browns.

The Redskins current sack-leader practiced in a limited capacity throughout the week. His status will be confirmed prior to kickoff.

    (Updated 09/30/2016)
10/02/16CBDashaun PhillipsHAMSTRINGOUTPhillips (hamstring) will not play in Week 4.

Phillips exited Week 3 and did not return. His loss marks the second cornerback the Redskins have ruled out for this contest, as Bashaud Breeland (ankle) will be inactive as well.

    (Updated 09/30/2016)
10/02/16DEKendall ReyesGROINQUESTIONABLEReyes (groin) has been ruled out for the Redskins' Week 2 matchup with the Cowboys.

Reyes has been nursing the injury for the past two weeks and was unable to take part in practice both Thursday and Friday. Cullen Jenkins and Anthony Lanier will combine to take his place in the meantime.

    (Updated 09/16/2016)
07/29/16RBSilas ReddSuspensionSUSPENDThe NFL has suspended Redd indefinitely for a violation of the league's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Bans of this variety are due to continued positive tests, which is evident as Redd has yet to serve a four-gamer for a similar violation due to his recovery from a torn ACL and MCL. Once healthy enough to return to the field, he'll have to bide his time and do his due diligence considering NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will be in charge of any reinstatement effort.

    (Updated 04/12/2016)
07/25/16LBJunior GaletteAchillesOUTGalette will have surgery to repair his torn right Achilles tendon, ruling him out for this season.

Galette's injury was revealed last week, but there remained a small hope that he may be able to avoid surgery and eventually play this year. However, upon since announcing his decision to undergo surgery, Galette can now be ruled out for the entire 2016 campaign, marking his second straight season lost due to an Achilles injury. With Galette sidelined once again, the Redskins will hope Preston Smith can build on his eight-sack rookie season and work with Trent Murphy at Washington's outside linebacker position opposite Ryan Kerrigan.
