Vikings defensive end Jared Allen finished with four tackles (three solo), one sack and one forced fumble during a 23-20 overtime win Week 13 vs. Chicago. Allen, who has six sacks in 12 games, managed just 1/2 sack in his previous five games.
The Vikings are pretty healthy entering Week 2 against the Lions, with seven players listed as probable for Sunday's game. Those players are: tackle Phil Loadholt (knee); linebackers Larry Dean (shoulder) and Erin Henderson (heel); defensive backs Mistral Raymond (shoulder) and Josh Robinson (quadriceps); defensive lineman Kevin Williams (knee); and center John Sullivan (knee).
Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway is proving to be one tough football player. Greenway briefly left Sunday's game against the Bears with a right wrist injury, which he revealed after the game that he's been playing with a fracture in the wrist since October.
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said quarterback Christian Ponder has not passed the concussion protocol and that Matt Cassel likely will start Sunday at Baltimore, reports VikingUpdate.com. Josh Freeman will serve as the backup.
Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo tied linebacker Chad Greenway for the team lead with 10 tackles (five solo) during a 23-20 overtime win Week 13 vs. Chicago. It was the third time in four games Sendejo had at least 10 tackles.
